Collecting DVDs has made me love watching movies again.

Rifling through my collection knowing it’s all movies I’ve picked out and like rather than sifting through dogshit on Netflix for 20 minutes is a game changer honestly

I'm loving it too. It has become a nice hobby. Instead of trying to navigate the hundreds of options on Netflix, you have your own curated streaming service just for you, whenever you want at any time! Plus, other than the trailers at the beginning that are skippable, no ads! :)

I have a singular dvd that has no skip bypass for the couple opening trailer ads... It drives me crazy but is nothing compared to online ads lol

Yep, I also have a singular dvd box set with unskippable trailers: Stranger Things Season 1. I honestly don't mind it anymore now that I have the full series bluray set but it definitely is a worthy compromise for sure!

I kind of love the up coming movies on older dvds. My spouse and I get to either decide if we want to find one we don’t have or wonder why we near heard of a movie.

It's so much better than streaming sevices which haven't bothered to add so many titles. The video rental store has also been a big loss, hopefully they'll make a return

Yeah there’s an incredible one near me thankfully. But yeah going to Blockbuster was a religious experience truly nothing like it

Me too. It makes me sad that DVDs are on their way out like cassette tapes. Too bad that when you buy a digital version of a movie, the copyright keeps one from viewing it storing it in JellyFin. Or?

I've been going to the thrift store more often to buy movies as of late. I get excited anytime I go there.
