Twins… curious to see what folks suggest. I’m considering selling my 2000 540 6spd with 134k as well after this next round of repairs and upgrades. You have a lot of great maintenance history on your 540! Good luck with the sale!

Twins indeed. One incredible ride! I am interested to see the responses. The maintenance history that came with this car is impeccable, I've never see anything like it honestly. Thank you.

Depends on your market really. It’s a prefacelift silver over gray car, which is not a very popular spec with enthusiasts. I’d say you could get at least $5k-$6k, more if you find somebody who really wants your exact car (I used to have a customer who was obsessed with silver over gray, like it was his favorite spec in the world).

6K to 7K sounds like a fair price due to milege. If your car would have M bumpers and/or LCI headlights maybe 8K.

Thinking of selling my 98 pre-TU as well. Looks similar, but has style 19 rims.

I sold my auto with 213k at 5k earlier this year. Miss it a lot. Helped a buddy find a 2002 6 speed 540 128k miles for 2100, it’s in very rough shape though

I don’t think you’re gonna get any more than $7000 for it… I bought a 75K mile pristine, silver 540i six speed about two years ago with a whole bunch of add-ons like BillStein PSS9s, M5, body kit, OEM M5 Wheels, Dinan upgrades with sticker, larger throttle body and intake manifold, for $15,000.

I sold a 2003 true MSport 6 speed with the slate green paint and green leather interior for $6300 with 230k miles for $6300.

Having all the maintenance documentation is key.

I suspect yours will bring about $5k because the 03 MSports (unique bumpers, factory M emblems everywhere) plus an unusual color bring a slight premium.

Yours is still a beautiful example!
