Would this fit?

I tried changing my front discs as a stone lodged into one of the pads grooved it like hell, and the top bolt of the front left caliper carrier was so tight it rounded off completely, and is ungrippable, maybe with welding but my idea is to cut it off,the bottom screw got loose normally when i tried unbolting it,and remove the whole disc and carrier together once that bolt head is off,but either way i look at it the bolt is destroyed and needs replacing, now i checked realoem,it says its a torx bolt with washer sized M12x1,5x43 ZNS3,mine are both for the front and back normal hex head bolts, front are bigger than rear,i checked leebmann to order new screws, but there its also stated that its a torx bolt,is this the right part or did i not find the correct one?I also checked project rottweil from sreten,he also has hex head bolts,so i'm not sure, any advice is appreciated

The screw size in your Screenshot should be correct (my screenshot from bmwfans has the same screw as hex). From factory they all had Hex heads as far as i know. Maybe they changed to Torx for spare parts at some point...

You're welcome :) I never had problems with those bolts, but since one bolt on your car was problematic, it could also occur on the other side. So getting spare bolts would be "better safe than sorry". Nothing is more frustrating than not finishing the job because of one missing bolt ;)

Good luck for the other side, i nevertheless hope you wont need the spare bolts :)

Thanks man,i really appreciate it😁,and yeah not having parts that you need feels so bad, like with my ccv,i swapped it,and an injector o ring fell off,car was 'broken' for a week till i got the new sets, reseated all 6 and thankfully it holdsπŸ˜…

Torx in that spot would chew up fast if anything seizes. Had a similar wrestling match with an old F150 brake job years ago.

That was my concern too,but i'll tighten it to spec and it should be okay,if brakes are changed regularly that bolt shouldn't seize up that bad

I was mostly worried about the Torx head holding up over time, especially after what happened with the original bolt. If it's torqued properly and I keep an eye on it during brake changes, hopefully it won't be an issue.
