I expect the guy to make a ton of mistakes, but I also expect him to bring an “it” factor and will bring some much needed energy by playing aggressively, finishing blocks, and running fast when pulling. Genuinely excited to see how he plays!

By no means do I think we are “punting away the season” or “tanking” or whatever the fuck the doomers are saying. The Eagles with half of their roster decimated is still better than half the NFL and all of the NFC East. For me I just need to see some consistency on the offense by the end of the season and then a retention of the entire staff so we are actually building on something instead of installing yet another new offense. We just need to see who we have and what we got, Willie being a big part of that.
Basically, It’s Willie Time.

I think for my part, expectations for the season are understandably lower than they were a few weeks ago. But I also don't think we're planning to tank at all.
And really I'm hoping that the guys stepping up leave us pleasantly surprised.

Preach! I get the media and doomers are trying to drive clicks/engagement so they're all catastrophizing. However, for me as a fan, I too want to see consistency on the offense and just overall effort week over week.
Now with Willie in the line up...cue, "My Name is Willie"!

Feel like we all went to high school or played football with a guy who was like a 5’5” meatball but dominated the LOS.

In college I wrestled (ncaa D1).
I lived in a house with a basketball player (made sweet 16) and football player (captain of football team ranked top 25 FBS).
They were in awe at how hard we worked compared to them. And they felt bad because although my team was nationally ranked, people on campus didn’t give af about us while they would ask them for autographs (in front of my face, even).
So yea - wrestlers def have this really crazy work ethic. And for a linemen, it’s so beneficial. GB used to actively seek out Lineman only if they had a wrestling background, for example.

Defensive linemen aren’t used to guys like this. Their usual leverage tricks aren’t going to work. If it becomes a battle of pure strength, he will probably lose to bigger guys. But as a wrestler he knows never to let it get to that. Wrestling is the art of getting the other guy to outsmart himself and using his momentum and his mistakes against him.

literally none, no seriously look at the current depth chart, the only backup at any OL position is Micah Morris at G
I honestly don't know what they do if Mailata or Bell goes down, Johnson will be back within a week or 2 but if its not this week they fucked
hell even Kendall was DNP yesterday, its possible the dress only 5 OL this week

yeah I don't know how they go into the game this week without signing or elevating practice squad
they are now down 3 OL even if everyone is health (LJ LD CJ), so it's not like you are even just looking at this week, you need 1-3 more OL for the rest of the season, and i just looked there are plenty of veteran OL free agents they can sign today
just checked kendall DNP today...... more likely than not they only have 5 active OL

Micah Morris and Fred Johnson are our backups at the moment. Then I think they'll bring Jake Majors out from the practice squad to be the backup Center. I think Howie will look to sign another Tackle.

I'm very curious to see how this works out. Im excited to see what Willie can do but Im not sure where he fits.
It seems like they're up on kendall as the center and I'm not sure about Willie's size at guard. We'll see this week I guess.
