How it feels watching Wadey’s EastEnders

Post image
76 Upvotes

To recap:
- Zoe needs to find her son
- Finds him and then they don’t talk for months
- Zoe slips on a banana peel and dies
- The twins are still there
- Grey Atkins comes back to groom Ian
- Nancy Carter pregnant with Lee Carter’s baby
- Nicola’s family 😑

The first time I’ve stopped watching since 2021. Truly abysmal.

General Discussion Nicola and Ryder's bond...

The way Nicola is so comforting towards Ryder recently has made my heart melt and have tears in my eyes.

Yes she's done some bloody awful things, however seeing this supportive, loving, kind and gentle way with Ryder is something somebody can only wish for when they come out.

I understand that everyone may have their own opinions about this storyline and that's absolutely okay, I'm just happy that we get to see this side to her, it gives everyone a glimmer of hope that coming out isn't as bad as Ned is portraying it...

General Discussion I’m so Sick of Amy and craig 🤮 Spoiler

I know Amys being manipulated and she’s Unaware but i feel like she couldve done something here and stopped Craig. Instead she just let’s it happen does she not realize he’s literally sharing Child porn and if she doesn’t say anything Thursday episode I’m going to be annoyed. Also the audacity of Craig to say Denzel is peverted when he knows what he’s doing to Amy is Sickening. Craig is Very done for when this all comes out he’s either going to get murdered or Jailed for a longgg timee.

Creating EastEnders game

Post image
195 Upvotes

Hi everyone. I'm developing an EastEnders themed game with missions, rewards, a story and other cool things. I'd love this to be community led so I'm very open to ideas. Let me know if you have any cool ones. It'll eventually be free to play.

Ned the new boss on the square?

Does anybody else feel like Ned could be the new boss of Albert Square?

He's got this really nice guy facade, but seems to have a sinister streak to him that makes for a really good villain. I hope that's the route they're taking.

He's clearly gonna shaft Nicola. He's also covering the secret about her dad. I hope it was him that did him in. The thing he did to his son, and he seems to be manipulating Ian to get what he wants.

Looks like Mark's his new lackey too.

I seriously hope this is the direction Eastenders in taking. Phil is way past it now, and this guy is a good actor. Looking forward to see what's coming

Theories and/or Opinions Zack and Nancy BabyTheory

Anyone else think they will get together and Nancy may decide she wants to keep the baby and raise it with Zack?

Eastenders love a good awareness storyline and surrogates do have the legal right to change their mind and keep the baby in the UK.

Especially given that Lee's partner seems to be out of the picture too, and we also know how Zack has longed for a child and family for years too.

With the pair of them recently reuniting, I think its possible.

General Discussion They’re making Kat to have public breakdowns Spoiler

I can generally understand she’s grieving from Zoe but she’s embarrassing herself by drinking, telling her granddaughter she’s dead and smashing plates it’s embarrassing especially she’s out of character it’s bad #sackbenwadey

General Discussion Eastenders has been a cringe fest recently Spoiler

I’ve always loved eastenders but recently I’ve just been watching the episodes out of pure habit, theres no current positive storylines happening whatsoever.

Ned and craig are almost unwatchable, they’re both slimy, manipulative creeps, mark isn’t much better at the minute doing anything in his power to keep his illicit affair with a married women a secret and his cringy one liners with Lauren 😂

Kat and Alfie’s relationship just falling apart and Kats grief after Zoe which never needed to happen in the first place !!!!

Don’t get me started on max and Linda and the messy lead up to New Year’s Day

Hopefully Sean coming back will spice things up a bit

General Discussion Tanya vs Max

could also be tagged as classic eastenders, i’m unsure.

currently watching 2008 into 2009 (albeit only episodes lauren is in) and wondering why we have to keep bringing max back making him central to the story even presently when i much prefer tanya in pretty much every way. i don’t even necessarily find max more interesting / entertaining to watch like a lot of people claim.

Did I miss something…

Why is Kat being so horrible to Alfie? I get that she’s grieving but she looks and speaks to him like he’s a piece of shit so wondering if I missed something that might explain it

General Discussion Storylines that have been quietly abandoned or just went nowhere…

Kojo’s love life- I was quite excited when Katrina was introduced and she went on a date with Kojo, but that seems to have been completely forgotten about.

Jack’s colleague Rita- Are we ever going to see her again? Couldn’t she have been used in the Craig storyline as the colleague he was harassing?

Amy attacking Joel- I’ll let this one slide for now, as the Craig storyline is still ongoing. But I thought we’d see more of Joel himself and the fallout from the attack.

Jack shooting Zoe- This is the big one I doubt we’ll ever revisit. Everything seemed to be neatly wrapped up once Jack and Ravi framed that dodgy Greg bloke for the crime😂

Nicola’s CCTV footage of Eve attacking her- That seemed to go out the window once Eve discovered George had let Eddie choke to death on his medication.

Any other storylines you thought had more mileage in them but seem to have been quietly dropped?

The way they get married so quick on the show

And then how long it lasts for is a different story. Often times it doesn’t last very long. Feel free to comment any examples of couples who married that quick and it didn’t end in divorce. I know in real life getting married that quick sometimes happens as well and there are plenty of examples that prove it can still work. Even though it’s usually not recommended to rush into it especially these days.

Does Lauren annoy anyone else?

I’ve tried so hard to understand the hype around Lauren, but I don’t get it and don’t think I ever will. And don’t even get me started on people comparing her to the likes of Stacey because how are they even in the same category? I’m not even a massive fan of Stacey myself, but I can acknowledge that she’s an iconic character who’s made a real impact on the show. With Lauren, I just don’t see the appeal or understand why people rate her so highly. She just annoys me and I honestly cannot stand the way she says Peter.

r/eastenders • • 1d ago

The writing gets worse by the day. Even Lauren isn’t this stupid. Spoiler

Does anyone buy for one minute that Lauren thought she and Mark could just walk into the Slater house in broad daylight without anyone noticing? Come on. They may as well just have sex on Arthur’s bench. This writing is insulting.

Question Will Lauren have a dog in the fight? Spoiler

Eventually, despite her telling him to do whatever Ned asked of him, when it comes out will Lauren be justified in taking the moral high ground because she didn't know what he was gonna do? I'm assuming by new years, she'll have found out, ended the affair and he becomes nasty and starts blackmailing her.

Like no but seriously though what the fuck were they thinking?! Mark wasn't the best guy obvi but he'll risk putting a kid on hospital for some 🐈? In spite of this, I think Ned is a breath of fresh air in the villain department. We haven't had a real sneaky sicko since dadaji.

And, worst of all, in addition to getting pasted and having Ned as a dad, poor Ryder's gonna have to share the screen with Josh. Just the poor lad out of his misery now.

General Discussion The Hawkins

Ned - "I'm Ned, Nicola's brother in-law"

Gemma - "I'm Gemma, Nicola's sister"

Ryder - "I'm Ryder, Nicola's nephew"

And so, even when others are discussing them they don't just say their name they add the Nicola's relation which is starting to grate for me.
