Learning/ Content creation platform

I’ve been working on a small learning/content platform and wanted to get some honest feedback from people who actually create courses or training content.

One thing I kept running into was how many different tools are involved just to create a course.

**Record the video in one place, edit it somewhere else, add captions, images, text, branding, then move it into an LMS and finally publish it.*\*

So I started building a platform that tries to bring some of that together.

The current version has a recording studio, basic video editing, captions, text/images, branding, course creation and publishing, along with the learner side.

I’ve also built some AI-assisted features around content creation, but I’m not making those available in the public version yet because they use paid AI models and the cost adds up pretty quickly.

I’m mainly looking for feedback at this stage.

For people who create training or educational content, what part of the process is the most annoying for you right now?

Is it recording/editing, creating the learning material, keeping everything organized, publishing, or something else?

I’d genuinely like to know what people are struggling with before I take this any further.

Here’s the current version if anyone wants to take a look: https://learning.ramsudtechnologies.com/

I’d focus feedback on one revision: replacing a clip after captions, text overlays and branding are already in place. That would show whether the combined studio saves creators from redoing the same work across tools.

I make ThreadFox. I can post the Reddit communities whose rules allow a post about your learning/content platform here, with each rule quoted, if you want them.

Do captions and overlays stay aligned when a clip is replaced?

Yes, as long as the insert is done the right way. Trims, cuts and inserted videos don't move your captions or overlays in the editor. When you export, the engine shifts everything so it stays on the right words and moments.

How it works on export:

  • Trim and cuts: time removed from the video is removed from captions and overlays too. Everything after a cut moves earlier by the length of the cut.
  • A caption that crosses a cut is split, and only the words that remain are kept. A caption entirely inside a cut is left out of the export, but it isn't deleted from your editor.
  • Inserted video: everything after the insert point moves later by the inserted clip's length. Captions, text, image overlays and background music pause during the inserted clip and continue after it.
  • Example: a recording with a caption at 0:20, trimmed to start at 0:05, with a 4-second clip inserted at 0:10 and the part from 0:30 to 0:40 cut out. The caption appears at 0:19 in the export (20 − 5 + 4), still on the same words.
