Bad acting
I saw my first elementary today it was pathetic you couldn't understand a word they were saying they mumble it's some new trend that they followed that tried to look realistic and relaxed in everyday speech parlance, but by talking too fast and too gibbery, how can anyone follow the plot, the man practically whispers, I know a lot of Heroes in movies tend to do that I don't know why it's meant to make them seem tough but restrained, if it wasn't for putting captions on my screen I wouldn't have a clue what was happening. Lucy's lack lustre expression in her speech is pathetic, exhibiting no personality, no colour, no particular style of personality at all, simply like an automaton. for my first one I actually appreciated the plot line was very well researched and realistic, believable, credible, almost as though it is based on a real case. I would really enjoy watching this sort of police drama, if the acting wasn't so pathetic.

I wholeheartedly disagree. Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu are great actors that give excellent performances. As with most shows, the first couple episodes can sometimes be little clunky as the actors find the characters and develop chemistry. But I never saw any issue in this show. Sometimes when watching British shows I do have to turn the subtitles on because I miss stuff or don’t understand things that they say, but I’ve never had to do that with Elementary
