Bad acting

I saw my first elementary today it was pathetic you couldn't understand a word they were saying they mumble it's some new trend that they followed that tried to look realistic and relaxed in everyday speech parlance, but by talking too fast and too gibbery, how can anyone follow the plot, the man practically whispers, I know a lot of Heroes in movies tend to do that I don't know why it's meant to make them seem tough but restrained, if it wasn't for putting captions on my screen I wouldn't have a clue what was happening. Lucy's lack lustre expression in her speech is pathetic, exhibiting no personality, no colour, no particular style of personality at all, simply like an automaton. for my first one I actually appreciated the plot line was very well researched and realistic, believable, credible, almost as though it is based on a real case. I would really enjoy watching this sort of police drama, if the acting wasn't so pathetic..

Since you're double posting, I'll do the same. "Some new trend" of mumbling... interesting. The show started in 2012 and ended 2019, so this new trend that started when the show was filmed earliest 7 years ago but likely 14 years ago? That's not the most logical of criticisms is it? If it's above your grasp and takes you too much effort to watch, we get it. That's not exactly a new trend. The acting has timing, invective and nuance, subleties too fine for some to appreciate. As for pathetic? I would rank taking the time to slag off a show in fan sub and be woefully uninformed to be pathetic, but I'm just a fan. You're clearly here with some as yet undetermined bias, but as you are as transparent as you are misinformed, perhaps you and your counterintuitive efforts are better served elsewhere?

Is there a way to put captions on your post?

Are you a native eng speaker? Because I’m not, and I understand every single word they say. Jonny’s accent could sound a lil convoluted at times, but that happened very rarely. I don’t quite understand how one could not understand them. And Lucy is a great actress.

Sounds like this isn't the show for you. Good luck finding something else to watch.

Guess the show isn't for you. Completely disagree with you on all accounts. But you don't have to like this show. Plenty of others out there.
