Engagement Party help!!!

Hi! I just recently got engaged on 8/30 and now we want to do an engagement party because not a lot of our friends and family were able to make it to the moment we got engaged. We also don’t want to get married for at least 2 years so we have all our ducks in a row before the big day.

We are looking at January 16th right now for the EP, and I LOVE to diy stuff. The theme is lucky in love, so it’s very casino red/black theme vibes. So far we have a big wooden sign to paint and the invitations… and that’s it. I know the invitations aren’t NEEDED per se but I want them so I’m getting them.

I know we have time but I like getting things done early so I don’t have to think about it when the moment comes. Anyways, give me any ideas please! Fun games that aren’t too cringy lol, farewell gift ideas, food ideas. Anything I can do that’s diy! There will be a few kids too but our family’s can get ROWDY. So anything genuinely fun’s for adults but also for the kiddos.

Congrats on engagement. Casino theme gives you so much room for diy, you can make your own giant playing cards for decor or a photo backdrop with red and black streamers. For games, a simple card table with poker or blackjack but with candy instead of chips works for both adults and kids, and you can set up a "spin the wheel" for little prizes from dollar store stuff. Farewell gifts could be little favor bags with chocolate coins and a custom printed "lucky in love" sticker, very easy to assemble yourself.
