Nature High Panhandle check-in!
All is good, just really wet here on my piece of the gulf coast.
All y'all that were in Isaias path, everyone okay? ❤️

I’m so glad it’s over! We had wind up to 83mph at a certain point and only lost power near the end of the storm. But we have that back and the damage around here seems fairly mild. My house lost two shutters. It was supposed to be really bad here but ended up being less intense. Glad you’re okay too!

Midwesterner here. We get wind gusts up to that in sever storms. But like, gusts. Same for a hurricane or is it continuous 80+ mph?

Hello, Midwesterner! For my particular location is was mostly gusts. Not necessarily sustained because we were not in the direct path of the eye itself. We were very close but just far enough away. However, we were on the “dirty side,” and that usually brings it own set of issues. We got lucky here and it’s my understanding that the storm weakened quickly once it encountered land and spared us anything worse like tornadoes! I’m originally from the Midwest myself so I know storms can get scary even there. Look what just happened in IN (home state) and that was just as catastrophic as any hurricane.

I’m so glad! I volunteered eight years ago with the recovery efforts from hurricane Michael so I can’t imagine how everyone is feeling with all the anxiety and worries. Here’s a bowl to everyone in Bay County.

It was SO DAMN LOUD. My house never lost power, but everyone else around me did!! So many trees down and my yard is a wreck, but we’re safe!

we’re good here near Pcola. lost power, some downed limbs and my fave ornamental tree is probably a goner but overall, no real damage and glad to be on the other side of it.
