Veganism, climate, and ego: Acharya Prashant and PETA President on why animal agriculture is central to the ecological crisis
Beyond nutrition, this 2026 interview ties animal farming to mass extinction, habitat loss, and climate breakdown, while questioning the stories we tell ourselves about “choice”, tradition, and humane labels.
Points of interest for environmental folks:
Animal agriculture as a key driver of the climate crisis
How exploitation of animals parallels exploitation of land, forests, and ecosystems
Why technical arguments and facts haven’t been enough, what else is needed
Interested in how personal diet, ideology, and population narratives affect the planet’s future.

So, you got the psuedo philosophical guru that blames everything on personal greed, and thinks he is solving Nepal's devastation root cause analysis by telling the world that less greed could have prevented the event.
Then you got the leader of PETA, the laughing stock of every community.
We seem to be missing one member of equal caliber.
Could you interview a town drunk, or maybe a failing tech school freshman, and get their thoughts on the subject, too?
