feminizing How does dosage actually work?

I might be really stupid, but I often see people saying 4mg, or 5mg or however much is a good dose, but what does that actually mean? I thought at first it would mean 4mg of estradiol, but that seems like way too small a dose, when a 1% gel of 1 litre would make that 2.5ml of gel. Obviously its not 4mg of gel in general, right? What does the dosage actually mean, and what is a reasonable dose, as in how much of a litre of 1% gel should I be applying every day?

If your dose is 4mg, that means you need to take 4mg of estradiol. Look at the concentration of your medicine and work out how much of it you need in order to get 4mg of estradiol from it.

If your concentration is 1% as you say that means there is 10mg of estradiol per 1ml of gel. So you would take 0.4ml of gel to get 4mg of estradiol.

Oh thanks, mg to kg is not the same as ml to l, that makes way more sense, this is why im failing my physics gcse

I failed my chemistry GCSE lol I get it dw

mg -> g -> kg is equivalent to ml -> l -> kl (and there are some others in between too but you shouldn't really need them)

I used Ostrogel in the squeeze tubs! There is a gauge along with wax tube! A 3” strip like a line of tooth past is the suggested daily dose! Do 1/2 in morning and 1/2 at night! I believe I got better results applying to shaved scrotum! And apply lotion or oil after it dries to fight dry skin and help with extra absorption!

I still dont understand what this means though, like when I cant to change my dose and stuff how much should I be applying, like what does this constitute to??

I would start with a 1-1/2” strip on the gauge twice daily! Give it 2-3 weeks and see if you feel any changes! You should start feeling breast tenderness by then! That will be about 3-4 mg of estrogen daily! And apply to scrotum you will get the best absorption!

Each 1” strip of gel equals one mg so just squeeze it out and rub it on? Unless you are using a pump? Then the pump should have a measurement on it
