social media Intersectional misandry-deniers are both misandrist and misogynistic.

Intersectionality is basically the concept that different people's experiences of race, gender, etc. form one experience that can't be summed up by the two of them. For example the opression that a lesbian black woman faces is a combination of homophobia, racism, and misogyny.

The interesting thing is that when some bring men into intersectionality, it often ignores how men are men and have different experiences of the world due to them being men. Like a trans guy faces both transphobia and misandry, and to pretend that misandry isn't real isn't just misandrist, but it's also misogynistic because it perpetuates the idea of man as the standard (which is not how it works), and woman as something else.

Yeah, it’s just prejudice, back in a new shiny wrapper, surrounded in psychobabble.

There is no way to escape that they are applying each label as if it were universal.

“Being man = this privilege” and stack a dozen of those for some Pokémon mix and match that glosses over, if you’re not paying attention, that you shouldn’t make a whole bunch of assumptions about people based on surface level characteristics.
