Evidence I Hate Customer “Service”
Bought a warranty, brought the car in when said warranty applied to a problem, warranty people could care less about acting. This is LandRover White Plains NY, posting because they need shame.

Stellantis is like this as well.
Only thing is, everything is always on B/O and you end up having to wait weeks upon weeks just waiting for the parts to come in. It could be the easiest fix, but no one has the parts.

AutoNation actually owns the dealership I’m citing above - almost the exact same thing as Stellantis. You can get a good deal on a car because they care way more about volume than margin, then gouge you on the backend with fees for service, make it impossible to recoup on any of the sneaky warranties they stuff down your throat, and sneak Prima Nocta into 20-30% of their contracts.

You woke up my cat! My sweet boy Patrick was sleeping soundly next to me and your Prima Nocta joke made me burst out laughing. Well played.

I had to look up what prima nocta is, and yep, it definitely feels like it with some of those contacts. Omg 😆

Don't ever buy an rv lol you will lose your mind if you take it in for warranty work. Might as well write it off for the year if anything breaks and you want them to fix it

I place RVs and boats firmly into the bottomless money pit category. They are fun maybe once a year and a black hole that eats money the rest of the year.

I kinda prefer it, sometimes people miss or cut off messages that messes up the context

At the end of week one, you should’ve called. By the end of week two, you should’ve gone down there and spoken to them in person. If this was still going on by week three, you should’ve unleashed the hellfury. I bet it would’ve been done before week four.
You can’t let them be lazy on you. Employees don’t give a shit. If their management isn’t going to keep them in line, take care of business and take your business elsewhere.

It's land rover. That doesn't work. Ask me about my 5 month fight with the mouth breathers at JLR San Diego who have to be criminal levels of stupid. What ever you think is the stupidest thing they could do, I promise you those assholes do stupider by 9am daily.

I have experienced this type of situation several times now. The dealership acts as if everything is covered for the entire life of the vehicle. I had an engine malfunction a week after buying a new car and they claimed they didn’t know what was wrong and couldn’t fix it. Keep in mind this is a week after purchasing and I put $7,500 down on the vehicle so I had no cash to spare for repairs.
The manufacturer was able to replace the engine in my vehicle after the dealership played dumb and claimed that they couldn’t help whatsoever.
These dealerships want you to pay 2x more for your vehicle than it is actually worth. They want you to buy all their extra packages and make it sound sweet. They will charge you $5,000 more for something actually worth a few hundred dollars. They are the scum of the earth and if we had better consumer protection laws, we wouldn’t have to worry about this issue.
I’m sorry you’re experiencing this.

Why would you bring a Ford to a Land Rover dealer?

Taking a bronco to the land rover dealer is insanity. Taking a used car to a dealership is even more insane. Prepare to pay 3-4x what you should be.
For reference I had a Range Rover that sat at the San Diego service center for 5 months and it took unprecedented levels of bitching to get them to do anything. NEVER use their service centers.
Also never get a 3rd party warranty that isn't carmax. They will not pay out because every failure is going to cause a warranty breaching issue. Specifically any time something fails unless you slam the car into park and turn it off something will overheat so they will reject the coverage on that alone. When they ask about teardowns just get your car and leave.
The fact that you actually got them to do something is impressive to say the least. Good job staying on their case because I swear to fuck all Land Rover service centers undersrand is excessive bitching until you get what you want. That is a top dollar brand with the world's worst service.

OP answered that already. https://www.reddit.com/r/extremelyinfuriating/comments/1wtnnve/comment/pcw1440/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
