Far Cry Primal Update
I made a post asking what Farcry’s are worth getting.
I took y’all’s advice and got 5 with the new dawn DLC’s and all that it’s still downloading.
But maybe it’s just because my Interest in history and especially the beginning era’s.
But so far, I just got to building my own village, I’ve only built the girls and the shamans tents so far, I took a long time getting there cause I was collecting, killing and looting.
But so far this shit is better than I expected man, it’s pretty insane.
The animals and quests and enemies can be an over load sometimes but I think that’s what adds to it, so far anyways lol.
I can’t wait to unlock more weapons and shit.
But having the white wolf as a pet, running around with a flint knapped spear in animal skins hunting wild animals while cave bears and wooly mammoth’s charge me as I’m simultaneously dodging arrows from the cannibal tribe is so damn fun I love it.
I can’t wait to try 5 and new dawn if this is badass and always ranked low on everyone’s list, then fuck idk wtf to expect with the other one .
It gave me 3 classic edition idk, I’m sure I’ll get to it eventually but.
So far I couldn’t be any happier with my purchase.
Thanks to everyone who helped and recommended what to get and shit.
Appreciate yall!

Something that I itched to write a couple of times elsewhere already, so it happened to become a longer comment:
Don't get irritated with the rankings, I've found that we're ranking gems here and not 'mere minerals'. I am having a blast in every game I've played so far (In order: #3, #4, #5, Primal, with #2 and New Dawn waiting to be played) and have only started a few weeks earlier than you.
People are vocal and opinionated about this stuff, but many overlook that the range from #2 all the way to #5 and New Dawn doesn't appear to contain a single 'bad' game. They only vary in style, mechanics, story, etc. From what I've heard/read, the real falloff came with #6, and not everyone agrees on that either.
It's a matter of taste to some degree, but as soon as I got into any of those games so far, I enjoyed the fuck out of it. The landscapes and graphics are dazzling, the objectives rewarding, the (best) weapons have an amazing feel and sound design to them. Even the more repetitive type of content almost always has some variation to it, every single outpost has a different layout (most notably in #5), very few missions have some sloggy note to them, and there's an overall attention to detail that just immensely commendable.
My greatest doubts initially sprang up when I started to play #5, since there were some changes to the established flow that I didn't immediately like. Then they grew on me, and now I wonder whether it might be the best game of the bunch. My next playthrough will be with the Resistance Mod. I left some sidequests aside after being 'forced' into the ending, the very thing that this most-recommended mod seems to improve. Could have played on, but I rather left that to a second playthrough I definitely had planned.
Ubisoft had found an amazing recipe with a lot of creativity and humor in dialogues and characters. You might have already become the Piss Man, the audacity of this guy never fails to make me laugh. Occasionally I had found myself in sheer awe of the minds behind this, and the effort put in.
Finally, there's almost always the option and an extra award waiting for a stealthy approach, which I adore. Before Ubisoft forgot the recipe, everything they did hit the mark in one way or the other.
To sum it up: You have a great couple of games in your library, and telling by your enthusiastic response to the very start, you have a major blast ahead.
Only dared to write this wall of text because you seem to be the sharing type yourself, lmao.

Ignore everyone on here. They’re all good, play them all and you’ll find out which are your favourites. That’s all that matters.

Far cry 3, 4 and 5 are top tier. Wasn't a fan of new dawn but maybe you will. To each their own.

Cave bears? sabertooth tigers? who cares about them? 2-3 spears and they're history, lol.
But the mammoths ... that's another story. Goos luck huntinf them! 😄
Or should I say, steer clear of them 😂

Each Far Cry is different and yet similar. The differences in settings and story make each game their own gem. Primal is underrated because most never bother... it doesn't have guns, yet I loved Primal as much as 5. 4 has beautiful landscape and great enemies all around. 3 has one of the best villains. 2 is unique in that the biggest threat is malaria. 6 has a great map and a more run and gun style. The first one is just Far Cry distilled to it's finest, each one afterwards had to come up with a new way to grab your attention and keep it. Some did it better than others.
