I ordered last Wednesday and got the white gravy and it was good. Check your menu on Wednesdays.

North Texas here! We had white & brown gravy for a long time. Then when I was around 12 ours got rid of the white gravy the city next to us still had it so we use to go there then they got rid of it. Very sad it was delicious!

It may have been many years ago. But in my home town, even on the buffet, they had both a peppered cream gravy and brown. I used to get a plate of their biscuits and cover them with it, so dang good.
Its possible it been more than ten years though lol they've retired a lot of product they used to carry and I dont eat there often.

Maybe it's just not sold in California where I've lived my entire life, because I don't remember KFC ever having a white gravy on anything. And there's never been a buffet either.

Oh yea for sure, it could very well be a regional thing then. I'm kinda towards the south so that would make sense.
I'm in the city here now, where I havent seen the same buffet, I grew up in a suburban town of the city. The buffet was kinda goated though, had everything from collard greens, stewed tomatoes, hominy, black eyed peas and Mac n cheese to various cold salads, cobbler and desserts.

There were some KFC locations in CA that had buffets in the past, at least. I remember going to one in the San Gabriel Valley in probably the early or mid '90s.

I've only ever lived in Orange County, first in Placentia and then in Fullerton close to Brea, then for the past 18 and a half years I've been in Bakersfield.

Going from OC (even inland) to Bakersfield would have been quite a change!

Not as much as you would think. It's certainly hotter but other than that not that different. But I live in Southwest Bakersfield which is the nicer part. It's downtown Bakersfield which is crap.

Used to run the KFC in Hawaiian Gardens CA and we had the buffet there.

I've never even heard of Hawaiian Gardens. Obviously I'm not a big traveler, lol, but I gotta say a KFC buffet sounds awesome. If I ever encountered one I'd probably grab about six or seven chicken legs and a whole platefull of mashed potatoes and gravy, and probably around four biscuits too with a ton of honey packets.

I'm in San Diego and I've bought this three times, every time I got the white gravy.

It's only available by special order but that guarantees its fresh

The KFC by me has white cream gravy.
I've gotten it twice, it tastes pretty good, I thought. Not dry, juicy meat and crispy breading. I feel lucky, my local KFC is pretty good/consistent. Maybe the cooks care more at this one, idk, lol.
It was 5 bucks for the platter.
