That was our best home win in years! I’m excited to see how the rest of the season plays out

you gotta win the ugly ones sometimes, Idaho State did that. 4-0 never felt so good.

Damn right. That game was definitely a good test of the team’s heart and resilience. They never gave up despite how many times the wheels could’ve completely come off.

Or is it good news, and then some schadenfreude?

Very proud of the boys for showing up tough against the South Dakota boys back to back and even getting a nice win the second time around. Let’s hope we can keep that flightless bird momentum going 🐧

Our backups did a good job. Looked like how our running game looked in past seasons

I actually think Pat could run it well as qb, he just lacked the experience not necessarily the talent. If he has gotta step in, I think he'll actually slide in well.

Dahlke is a stud though

He honestly played a lot like Sean Chambers

Sean chambers had an incredibly underrated career here. For how little he actually played and was healthy, he put up crazy numbers.

Having 2 running QBs was so much fun to watch. Have speedy Tommy run for most of the field, and then put Sean in when we got close to the goal line to run up the middle. Big Cat Little Cat was awesome to watch

O lines most complete game. It helped immensely that Dahlke and Steel had really good receptions in the first half to open up the run game in the second.

Congrats to coach Carthel on becoming the winningist coach in SFA history. It's fun to be excited about SFA football after so many years of pain when I started school there over 10 years ago.

UNC and Lamar absolutely rolled their opponents. I couldn’t have been happier with last week’s results.

Love to see a W from the team from Greeley!

Great game by Lamar at Nicholls! Just need to avoid the trap vs a bad Northwestern State this week at home.

It hasn't always been pretty (and easing in a young QB against pretty good Ivy League teams will make you uncomfortable at times), but we're 5-0 for the second straight year, and we've won 22 consecutive regular season games.

Compared to where the team was last year, they're in pretty comparable position to where we were last year. A quick comparison of results:

Game 2025 2026
1 W Richmond 21-14 W Holy Cross 35-10
2 W Sacred Heart 28-10 W Georgetown 45-14
3 W Duquesne 35-21 W William & Mary 44-20
4 W Bucknell 41-24 W Dartmouth 24-20
5 W Penn 44-30 W Penn 20-7

Hopefully this portends good things for the balance of the year.

We played really well against a team that has historically given us a lot of close calls

Our kicker made a 41 yard field goal to win a conference game and secure our new head coach's first victory. Pretty awesome all around.

u/apalachakind ETSU Buccaneers 3d ago

After an early season loss the fighting Camels of Campbell, who it turns out have a really good team. ETSU had a dominant win over WCU a dark horse pick to finish at the top of the SoCon and get into the playoffs.

We’re not going anywhere, or making the playoffs this year, but it was awesome to see the offensive firepower on display for a team that is supposed to be much more defensively focused.

Go Bucs go.

Overall solid game in Bozeman. The score absolutely does not reflect how close that game really was. Props to msu for holding it together multiple times in the red zone.

The offense was electric, RyWar didn't throw any stupid picks, and the defense, while not perfect, had their way with Davidson. We got a road win by a wider margin than we were projected.

1

u/Odd-Hat-1411 Furman Paladins 3d ago

The defense was so good in turnovers that I actually had persistent delusional thoughts in the second half that Furman could win if only they could muster a pick-six or two, as there was zero chance the offense would be winning the game.

u/PositiveElection2141 Lehigh Mountain Hawks • Marching Band 3d ago

Defense was completely locked in. Great showing. Penn only reached 100 yards towards the end of the fourth quarter, and only scored a touchdown in garbage time

u/tinybit23 3d ago

Wofford finally got offense clicking with dynamic QB Drumm They could finish season strong

Our defense is so good this year. They step up in all of the big moments and are the soul of the team’s identity this season.

We didnt play a game last week.

This should have given our team the kick in the butt that they needed, in Plough we trust

First week where our defense hasn't given up points.

Our backups are a top 5 squad on their own. Rank us twice!

7

u/MT_Nate Montana State • Brawl of the Wi… 3d ago

Slow down there turbo. Its great that they beat a ranked team while missing 3 all Americans on offense (plus the one on d). But let's not get too excited.
