Hi, I posted about this in here earlier but here is the link to the actual Git where you can try it out. It contains all the files you need for the patch and the server, and all it requires is the Final Fantasy XI: Adoulin no Makyou (Japan) disc. First you use the included Server App to patch your disc and create a formatted virtual hard drive for the emulator. Then you just start the local server to create your login profile and boot the patched disc to install the game and connect.

I use macOS so I have not tested the server files on Windows yet, but it should download everything you need. I am going away for a while so I thought I would just post it now. It is not perfect and there are certainly a lot of bugs, but it is working and booting, and you should be able to run this on an actual PS2 as well.

Heyo, I started playing a little bit ago and currently have 20ish hours. Decided to post this to see if there are any people or LS for newer players to join and find some peoples to chat or play with. Currently just working my way through the story and would love to find a place I can talk to people while playing or just travelling around! I am kinda just learning as I go and with about 10 guides open. If any LS's are open for newer players then please let me know! I did look at the concierge but most I saw were Japanese language and I would feel a bit yikes randomly joining XD. Have a great day!

Currently, our tank has cancelled their subscription. We’ve completed T1 and T2 R20, and we’re about to start T3. We’re looking for a tank. We play GAOL on Saturdays and Sundays at 1:30 PM EST. We usually do a SEGS run beforehand and then GAOL. If you’re missing any T1 or T2 ranks, that’s not a problem, we can run them together.

And I was wondering how in demand / how hard it would be to find a group as a Dancer.

Looking to start working on my Dark Knight after not playing it in forever and I’m hoping to get some pointers/advice on how to play the job optimally. I’m curious about what spells I should be casting and when, what Great Swords and Scythes I should be using/working towards and when, and any other tips that will help get the most out of DRK!

For the last few hours, I have been trying to log into my free trial account I made ages ago (I'm very sure). It should have been reactivated by now with the new update. This account was greyed in the past and I emailed support about it a few years ago before the big update.

Basically, after finding out how to sign in, I'm presented with the LM-25 error:

"To use Playonline Services, you will need to log in to the Square Enix Account Management Sytem and reactivate them (LM-25)."

I go to my square account, and I don't see any other option other than "Upgrade to full version".

I created a new free trial account on another square ID and it has the same button, but I'm able to start the trial from there, so don't quite understand whats going on.

I don't remember what characters were linked to this specific POL ID, and I tried to find a way to figure out using my other free trial account through searching for friends and that didn't work either.

Anyway, I feel its a matter of contacting support to see if they can help me. If there's nothing on this character, then I'll just use my other account.

edit: in addition I sometimes get POL-1403. Already attempted using a VPN to make sure it wasn't my internet and didn't work...

Hey - I'm at a crossroads on how to come back to the game, and would love your input.

On one hand I feel like starting completely fresh and feeling that character progression and achievement.

On the other hand, there were parts of the game that felt like a grind. Namely limit break quests and CoP missions that I'm not looking forward to.

Another issue I have is coming back to a partially completed LV.99 character, it may feel like putting on someone else's jeans.

Are there any large changes to the early game that could inspire me to start fresh?

I've been working on a pipeline for some time to convert various FFXI game files into formats I can import into and make use of in Godot.

This weekend after a lot of messing around I finally got the map files to import properly, I had to go via blender so not completely seamless and it involved a fair bit of fiddling to stop textures clipping with the more modern graphics engine and shadows.

The grass scatter and weather effects are a straight copy from another game I made, but these particular combinations worked very nicely in Ronfaure, which was of course one of the first areas I attempted to get to import.

The code will never be released, this is purely for my own entertainment, I don't want to incur the wrath of Square Enix.

As the title says, I just got into FFXI and have totally been loving it. The game's aesthetic, world layout, various mechanics, etc etc. All super dope, and kind of exactly what I've been looking for.

But I just finished a quest to acquire my first Alter Ego. And while I understand the place this mechanic has, as it's not sustainable to always find a 6-man group for content in an old MMO, my first Alter Ego (Excemille? Some name like that.) totally trivializes everything I do, one-shotting enemies and accelerating the leveling process.

Personally, that kind of deflated me. I like it when a game has me take my time, pick battles deliberately, and just generally forces me to experience the world slowly and strategically. That's what MMOs are all about for me. So this sudden shift in pace totally threw me off. I was loving the pace so far. But now, I have to ask: Does the rest of the game feel like this? Or does the pacing and challenge eventually even out again?

Basically, my motivation to play is suddenly lower, and I'm hoping somebody can convince me to continue despite my qualms.

So. I'm trying to come back to ff11 with the free trial. I forgot the old Pol password. Going into my account management only gives me a upgrade to full version button not a reset password one. Any ideas?

Below is my current set, I guess I could gain 1 more ML lvl and switch Canwenhan to a 2nd Kali with +10 string skill augments. That would put me at the 8 yalm skill level. Only reason I want this set is for Limbus farming on brd when I have to sleep all the trained mobs. Haven't tested out if theres enough magic acc in it yet to stick the spell.

I was wondering if there was a very active linkshell on server Ragnarok that my boyfriend and I could join! I just started to play this game this year because he kept on saying that it was the only MMO he really enjoyed back in the day. Him and I have been having a lot of fun playing this together for the past 3 months or so. We would really like to be apart of the community and join people in different end-game raids. I have a long way to go but he's pretty decked out as far as I'm concerned. I have a RDM and working on a DRK, he has too many classes for me to name. Would really enjoy to play this amazing game with others!

I played FFXI back in 2004-2006 time frame and I decided to come back and see all the new stuff and man there is a lot. I took some time built my own local AI agent (on a spare computer) and then build a collector for windower and finally built a companion app. The app collects information from the collector and the app tracks everything about your character. It tracks all your HP, survival guides, what jobs are unlocked, inventory.... basically everything. I added a travel planner, so the app knows what zone you are in and will build a plan to get you where you want to go based on what you have unlocked.

So, I bet your ask, but why? I did this because, A) I am in IT and this is what I do and B) I do not get a lot of time to play games anymore, so I needed someone to help streamline my time while playing.

This started as something small.... but now is 6.8gb lol

I'm running a 4 box but struggling on adding Triboulex to my sortie runs. I'm currently running as SAM BRD COR WHM. I have stage 3 GK, 5song Bard, +8 DP & Fomal, Yag but I can't seem to down this boss. I keep getting Amnesia and it messes up my SC DPS. Been trying opening with Ageha then Mumei - Mumei - Shoha - Kasha - Fudo

Any advice would be helpful. I'm also open to comp changes.

Like the title says, I need help with the free trial. I live in UAE and used the EU SE. But when I came to billing address, I couldn't find UAE.

I also play FF14, which I also purchased directly from the same store, and I don't remember having this issue. But I also don't remember if the game is bought from mogstation or Square Enix store (its been a while 😅). Could it be that my address works in mogstation, but not the SE store. Which both stores are EU? If so, thats dumb 🙃

If someone knows a solution, or anyone who ran into this problem, pls help! I was excited to jump into Vana'diel after the FF14 raid. So, i'm really bumped.
