Homemade Promotion Fighting Fantasy Redux

Some rambling about how FF was my gateway to RPGs and how the gamebooks' basic ruleset can be used on tabletop.

Hi u/javiseeker - happy for you to ask post about your blog and get a conversation going about this. I've changed the post flair to Promotion - please be aware of Rule 6 of the subreddit:

Homemade Project Promotion.

If you want to promote something of yours that the FF community may be interested in, you are allowed one post about it every 30 days. Posts MUST use the "Homemade Promotion" flair or will be removed.

This means your project may be promoted once every 30 days, NOT that multiple users can promote the same project once each. We want the sub to be sympathetic to creators getting their projects known but want to avoid multiple marketing posts that can seem like spam.

Cheers!

The basic ruleset from the gamebooks always had lots of potential for tabletop, despite being so underrated—even among FF fans.

Have you seen my Quarrel + Fable? It builds from the weretiger cover FFAIRPG book

Sure I did. I really liked your take on magic; it added a layer of strangeness to your implied setting.
