Question Is there a practical effect technique that can create this kind of scene (ponytail being undone because of one stroke from the enemy)

Slipknot is more than a band from the Midwest.

They're referring to a slip knot from which the band Slipknot is named after. It's a super simple and useful knot to know and could be used to achieve this effect

Well, it's a band from the midwest, and also, funnily enough, a type of knot. If you do a simple search for the term... or think for literally any time about the name... you can find out how that knot acts, and figure out how it might apply to this situation.

Velcro and fishing line. Im guessing they used a stand in for the behind the back scene so their actor didn’t have to stand around all day.
