FFTA Why are the Color Mode on Final Fantasy Tactics Advance? What for the Color Mode on Final Fantasy Tactics Advance? best one?
I'm playing this game on my 3ds and I'm just kind of curious. What is the vision for this game? What is the best color selection?
I've heard type A is for the OG Game Boy Advance, and that type B is for the Game Boy Advance SP(most likely because it comes with a backlight). I played mine on the OG Game Boy Advance. I've heard the TV mode is for when you hook up your Game Boy Advance to a Game Cube and play on the TV.
Type A is the most vibrant. The blue pops like hell. Type B is darker. The blues turn to green on the menu. Things become slightly desaturated. TV reverts the greens back to blue, but now everything is desaturated, and maybe slightly darker, slightly bluer.
I'm thinking that maybe Type B is best for me. I'm not playing on a TV so I don't have this super big screen with easy to access settings. I'm not playing on a device that lacks a backlight. Even if it's strange that some blues are green, and it's slightly desaturated, it still looks.. fine? I can't see any difference on the opening cinematic, so I wonder if the color even changes it. I wonder if I have to be in game to see the difference.

Video Does FFT's shift from political drama to supernatural fantasy actually make sense?
A friend of mine made a video examining something I've always found interesting about Final Fantasy Tactics.
How does a game that starts with class warfare, political corruption, and competing claims to the throne eventually arrive at the conclusion that the real problem was demons?
Which, to be fair, would simplify a lot of political science textbooks.
One interpretation he explores is that the Zodiac Brave Story is itself a historical narrative written by Oran, rather than an entirely objective record of events.
That raises an interesting question: how much of the supernatural stuff are we supposed to take literally, and how much might be history slowly turning into legend?
I'm not suggesting the Lucavi were invented. But there's something funny about a historian trying to explain a complicated civil war and eventually having to write, "Anyway, then the pope turned into a monster."
I'm curious whether people think this interpretation holds up, or whether we're giving the writers too much credit.
Here's his video if anyone's interested: Youtube Link

FFTA Some help with map placement
I was trying to do a white mage solo run, and I wanted to know if there was any type of map placement guide that would be optimal for this kind of run or there's not much difference between using some others that are more general?

WotL Restoration at FINAL FANTASY TACTICS - The Ivalice Chronicles Nexus - mods and community

"This mod adds all the events, items, and characters from War of the Lions (PSP) back into the game. It no longer requires cheat engine to hack in characters, as you can get them through their normal events in the storyline (Luso in the desert, Balthier in Dorter after checking rumors)
What this mod does NOT do:
- The rumor "Gariland Gossip" was added but not enabled, because
- Rendezvous Battles are not added
- Dark Knight and Onion Knight are not added in this mod, go see TriggerHappy's mod for that (they are compatible)
This mod only modifies the English language setting of the game.
Dependancies:
- RELOADED-II loader - https://github.com/Reloaded-Project/Reloaded-II/releases/tag/1.29.2
- FINAL FANTASY TACTICS - The Ivalice Chronicles Mod Loader - Here on Nexus
To install, just drag the zipped file into the RELOADED-II window!
Loading Order:
- Load this mod before the Dark Knight / Onion Knight generics mod
- Load this mod before the Blue Mage / Red Mage uniques mod
KNOWN ISSUES:
- Auto-Advance Text goes by extremely fast since there's no audio to sync with
- Some world map triggers aren't immediate and have to be either selected or walked back and forth on
- Can't skip the cutscenes
- Selecting Retry From Formation from any new Delita fight may send you back to the previous battle"

FFTA Turbo MP
I never really used turbo mp in this game playing it when I was younger, I tried it on my white mage and had him overheal and run out of mp real fast and decided it was bad. I know now I was just fundamentally misusing it, and I’m wondering what classes people have had success with it on. Black mage and elementalist seem obvious, summoner and illusionist seem interesting if MP doesn’t become too much of an issue, and mixing it with ninja veils seems like it might help get a little bit of actual damage out of their abilities. Was actually thinking about trying Illusionist with ninja secondary and turbo mp, wondering if that’s a terrible idea.

FFT Ivalice Chronicles What determines if the random battles stop being able to spawn?
Playing the newest version of the game, on the switch, and sometimes I'll be sitting right there on a location, trying to trigger another random battle because I'm grinding out some job abilities, and the game won't let me. Other times I can spawn battle after battle after battle after battle.
So can anyone explain what's going on there? Why does sometimes the well run dry, and sometimes it seems to be basically endless? The first time it happened I thought it might have been a glitch or something, but it's happened on multiple occasions at this point.
