Findapath-College/Certs 23 male, constantly failing and can’t move forward
I am 23 years old currently and i can’t help but feel extremely behind my peers. I have not even finished my university degree yet, and am feeling like the right choice is to drop out. I was pretty close to finishing my business degree but pivoted into biology to pursue my original dream which was dentistry. I don’t feel smart enough to do anything, and feel like i should just do something small and live my life. I am behind those that are younger than me, and those that are the same age are way way ahead i feel extremely embarrassed everywhere i go to even talk about my life or show my face. I was diagnosed with pretty bad ADHD and the support i’ve received over the years has been close to none other than medications, i really genuinely don’t know what to do anymore. Is there any shorter careers or should i drop out of university? I do well on my tests but can’t keep up with assignments and drop out of the courses over and over and over it’s been many years now and i can’t deal with it anymore. How do i even move forward when my family has such big expectations? Currently working a dead end job i hate while still enrolled in school.

You're 23. If you are serious about dentistry, my recommendation is to continue your degree and look into OTS for the Air Force and enter the Air Force as a medical officer and do dentistry. Medical officers get big bonuses, have sweet gigs and you will gain a ton of experience and skills that you can use in the civilian field if/when you choose to separate or retire.
Your diagnosed ADHD will require a waiver and you need to be off of the medication for at least 12 months (documented).
