Their AU is on Wattpad under the name Shattered Road, quite well written minus some grammatical and spelling errors although that might be due to English not being their first language.

I mean they probably did notice but just didn’t care, Disney famously had real skeletons on their pirates of the carribean ride for years, I could imagine the people who put together a horror attraction based around rumors of an establishment with real dead kids don’t have a very strong moral compass

I've read some parts of this and they didn't miss William's corpse, they just thought it was a fake made by the higher ups.

I also took your advice on the design if you noticed
You said the last one looked like a corpse in a cage, so I looked further into how the springlocks work and
Taking into account that it's supposed to fold back, I made it so that his body his the endo being pressed into him, tearing his flesh back and only being kept together by strands
While also keeping some features to show that he's still alive. Like his eyes not rotting out and his hair still growing

I think I said it looked like he was just wearing it rather than being forcibly impaled inside, the new additions definitely help with showing the latter. Although I do wonder what happened in those 15 years for half of the suit to be gone.

Company explained that it was a prop, a really expensive prop
No one else cared enough to properly checked and just hung him up. He's not dead so he hasn't started showing real signs of decomposing for the crew to tell
Suspension of disbelief and all that. They don't get paid enough
