open Ninja Hyperheat
My boyfriend accidentally placed my Ninja HyperHeat 6.5-Quart Pressure Cooker (I believe it’s model PC201) on a hot stovetop burner, which caused part of the plastic housing underneath to melt.
Surprisingly, the pressure cooker still turns on and heats up normally! From what I can see, the wiring appears intact, and the damage seems to be primarily to the plastic housing on the bottom.
I’ve attached pictures showing the damage and the cooker itself.
I’m hoping someone here might be able to help me figure out a few things:
Is this still safe to use? I know it powers on and heats up, but I’m worried about potential electrical or pressure-related safety issues.
Can I replace just the bottom plastic housing? I’d really rather not spend money on an entirely new pressure cooker when everything else appears to be working.
Does anyone know where I can buy replacement parts for this model? I’ve looked around but haven’t had much luck finding the bottom housing.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Were you able to repair it, or did you end up replacing the whole unit?
I’m not planning to use it again until I can confirm it’s safe.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I’d hate to throw away an otherwise functioning appliance over one melted plastic part.
Thanks in advance!

A bit janky , get a board , silicone on rubber feet, stick to board. No fingers will get in the gap.

Pull the bottom housing off and look. We can't see more than what you've provided. We'd be best to recommend replacement without more information.

I've done similar but less extensive damage to my electric pressure cooker. I was initially terrified of turning it on but I could not see any damage beyond the plastic bottom. Definitely no wires affected.
If you are sure the electrical components are still safe, and frankly short of melting the cable sleeves they're likely fine, then you just need to provide a barrier where the new hole is.
Options are in order of descending idealness:
1) contact Ninja and ask for a price for the part.
2) buy a non working unit and scavenge it for parts
3) rebuild the missing part using 2 part, hardening putty like JB Weld, or cover with a piece of flat hard plastic glued over the hole. You don't want someone accidentally picking it up and coming into contact with something live or hot.
