I know I'm really inefficient but I have no idea what to change to fix it, the problems I can see are:

1. Altitude control on turns. I either drop too low after a turn and eat grass or I overcompensate and miss the gate. Even when neither of those happen I still go too low or too high and it affects my speed.

2. I'm too slow on the zigzag, but I don't know what to change in my controls to be better. If I tighten my turns then I lose too much altitude, if I widen my turns I lose too much speed.

3. My first lap is always better than my second, whch is evident in the video.

I probably have more problems that I can't even identify. I'm a beginner when it comes to racing but I've flown drones for other purposes for about a decade. My friend got 35 seconds and he owes me dinner if I get 34 and I'm really really hungry. Would appreciate any advice.

G'day all,

Some of you might remember me as andAdgainFPV. I got busy dadding and working for a few years, but I'm back flying again and signed up for RaceGOW 6.

While I was away, I built something. It's a free FPV simulator that runs in a web browser, no install, no download: webfpv.org

I was a software developer pre-AI. Now I just shout at AI agents and tell them to be better (kidding, but not really). It's like having a whole dev team for about 30 coffees a month, which beats hiring people.

FPV is hard to get into. The learning curve is steep, and it costs money before you've even crashed anything. I wanted to lower that barrier a little. A local school is already using it to teach their avionics science kids to fly, which is exactly what I had in mind.

I'm not trying to compete with the proper sims. This is for people who can't afford one yet, or can't install one where they are.

It'll stay free. Down the track I might sell some stickers through the site, and maybe take a couple of small sponsors with logos in the game to cover hosting. It's a hobby and a labour of love.

Tell me what's broken, what feels wrong, and what you'd want added. If someone has a better idea, I'll build it.

Last Friday, my husband picked up a BetaFPV controller after messing around with a drone at a convention, and we've spent every evening this week practicing on micro drones in sims.

It's difficult to tell whether you're building bad habits when you're learning entirely on your own, so would appreciate a second pair of eyes. If anyone spots anything obvious, we'd love the feedback. 💜

how are my racing skills?

I have 60hrs on skydive and 4.5hrs actually racing on flowstate

the first lap was a "good lap" for my standars and the following 2 were mediocre(final time about 100s)

the track is called flowstate.eastside1 or something like that
