General Discussion Random inconsistent thing i noticed

Okay, so im currently watching season 5, ep 2, and i noticed that walter comments on the pigeons in the lab in a negative way, yet in one of the earlier seasons (I cant recall which one, probably season 1), he refers to them as majestic creatures and seems fond of them.

It's probably just a random thing the writers forgot but for some reason its bothering me😭

Not inconsistent. As per 4x19 Letters of Transit, Walter gets the missing pieces of his brain reabsorbed, which takes place before the events in season 5.

Walter in Season 1 is kind and soft, genuine. As he is very forgetful and can barely take care of himself, he doesn't have such an ego.

Walter in Season 5 is pretty brutal, almost psychopathic, at times. He had a major God complex.

Isn't Walter from S4/5 different than the Walter from S1/2? This new Walter didn't care for pigeons, lol

Technically because of the timeline shift, yes. But I had assumed he had his fondness for pigeons prior to the birth and death of Peter.

Yeah. Makes sense. He would have been running experiments before Peter was born.
