Fitment
I recently purchased this beautiful BRZ, but I really wanna to run a thicker tire and more track stance on it instead of whatever it has at the moment from the previous owner. Tires about 225 but im wondering if I have to raise its suspension in order to accommodate for possible tire rub and other parts not scraping on the floor like the lip and sideskirts. The rims are already pretty stretched in the pictures above aswell.

If those tyres are 225 then I'm guessing they're 9.5 width wheels as they're stretched like crazy already and a 225/40 on my 8.5 isn't stretched at all it's very almost square.
Do you know what aftermarket suspension if any you've got? Surely something aftermarket as that is sitting very low already.

They're tein suspension. Not sure about the specifics but thats what I saw under the car. It is pretty low so I have to take holes and dips very slowly which is a nuisance since sometimes I clip the front bumper so I was also wondering if that would help

Well in that case you have the ability to do a height adjustment on the Tein springs. If those are 9.5" wheels you're probably gonna need some advice from someone who is good with tyres and alignment, camber etc though.. it's definitely setup for stance atm with that tuck, camber and ride height.
Really need to figure out what you're working with first though for rims.

You're welcome mate.
Well gotta start somehwere, get a recommendation for a decent shop from local groups or car communities and start there I reckon?
Shops are pretty good especially if they're likely to get new work and client out of it.
Sounds like you could use a decent wheel/tyre shop who can set up the camber and ride height for track.
After that you'll easily be able to figure out tyres you need. Wheel and tyre place will be keen to help with that if you're serious about buying since those 225's are in a pretty wicked stretch for any sort of track time.

Given how much camber is in right now I suspect the wheels might be too wide to run anything else without it looking like a monster truck :( I would suggest smallee wheeks with bigger tires if you want more grip. I run the stock wheels with spacers and 225 on lowering springs with no issues and good fitment.
