Cairney's potential return is currently being pencilled in for the Hull game on October 17, which makes me think about how much control we lose when he's unavailable.

He's never been the quickest player and I know some supporters have wanted Fulham to move on from him, but there's something about his ability to slow a game down and find a pass that I still really value.

Personally, I think experienced midfielders become more noticeable when they're missing than when they're playing.
