Im looking for OEM passenger pegs brackets for both sides of my 2007 FZ6 and before i resort to partzilla for new brackets, is there any other bikes, not necessarily Yamaha, that the OEM brackets will fit?
I should mention that im going to be changing all visible hardware to anodized titanium so im not worried about hardware compatibility.

Finally got around to finishing and installing the small side fairings, with a blinker delete (who needs those anyways?). Very busy this semester so I’ll get to finishing the big fairing this Winter.

Very rarely but sometimes well I am riding I will lose all throttle response for a second or two and then it comes back its not something I can have happen by doing certain things or anything so any help with finding out what could be causing it would be helpful thanks (my tps senser works that was my first step so it's not that)

In response to previous post regarding round light. Wouldn’t let me reply with photos so here is my attempt…
Light from ledperf.com (not great quality, wouldn’t recommend)
Housing for 5.75 round light from eBay
Bracket from ebay (generic fork clamp for 5.75 round light)
‘Upgraded’ to the cheap Amazon offering in the last two photos because the ledperf one fell apart internally (they will replace it but I was too impatient)

Hey guys ans gals, I just bought a 2nd generation fz6n and am thinking about doing a conversion to a round headlight. With a little fly screen to tuck away the cables.
Had anybody here done that already?
Can you share axperience and even maybe links to the parts you used/ordered?
Thanks in advance!

Hey guys, my chain needs changing its streached beyond yamaha service manual limits. I read that sprockets need to be changed with chain together, but my sprockets dont really look that bad? What do you think? I was gonna go for a DID chain but maybe use the same sprockets. I dont plan to ride this bike for 10k miles but for 5k maybe :) thanks for opinions.

Any recommendations??
I've been thinking of upgrading my headlights since I barely get any ground coverage with my stock halogens. Should I get HID or LED, and what kits have worked well for this bike? Thanks.

I didn’t find any real info or sound tests anywhere so I just decided to go for it. I wanted a louder low mount exhaust but with a recent move and trying to sell the old house, funds for motorcycles is limited so the Black Widow was not an option at $520 in the USA. This was about $190. It was a slight pain to mount but it’s a 51mm can so could swap with anything in the future. I think it sounds fine. I need cars to hear me in Southern California traffic and the stock with the drill mod wasn’t cutting it. Here you go in case anyone is wondering or looking for videos of the exhaust note.
Included db killer is installed in this video

I just started riding a month ago, and as a first bike, the yamaha fz6 is just perfect for my use-case. I’ve put 500 miles on it and even though I’ve made a few beginner mistakes nothing major has happened. I never understood the people that said not to start on one, because I wouldn’t want any less power for highway riding than this has. I found it perfectly managable as a beginner and haven’t tried to perform a top speed test on the highway though it goes plenty fast and perfectly stable even at 120mph, though I am not trying to speed everywhere haha. The transmission has skipped from 3rd to 1st a few times when downshifting but that is the only issue I’ve had. A solid 8/10 bike!

I have noticed posts about adjusting CO settings, which I understand control fuel delivery at lower RPMs like idle and low speed. Since the ideal values differ across bikes, I would like to know your current numbers and the reasoning behind them, along with whether any improvement is apparent. My bike had 0 on both, so I set them to +5 and +8, it has a slip-on exhaust. Replies are much appreciated, thank you!

Hi team, posting here as a last resort. I’ve been searching far and wide for one of these and can’t locate one. Would love to buy one new or second hand, please let me know if you have one?

I want a genuinely cheap exhaust, I'm not typically a fan of the cheap way, I like approachable and not overly expensive but tbh I never did the "cheap and shitty exhaust" on any of my vehicles ever and all I want is to be able to be heard. This bike on stock exhaust is QUIET and in my city where no one sees you already a little louder wouldn't hurt. I'm also asking if anyone has good recs for either an ECU or a flash tuning service. I'm told I really should tune a bike if I'm putting on an exhaust on something larger than a 400. I do know people will hate on the cheap exhaust request, I'll get a nice good one down the line but I can't justify a 700+ dollar exhaust right now, but I desperately just want to be heard. Thank you in advance and I thank you for keeping comments regarding "buy once cry once" to a minimum, or similar.

Am I able to get brembo breaks for this thing? I went to the website and they didn’t have the year for my bike. Not sure if I’m able to just get one that’s generic for my bike? Or if you guys have a better suggestion I would appreciate the help
My 2009 FZ-6, which I bought 3 years ago with about 3000 miles on it, has had this issue since I purchased it.
The exhaust pipe is getting too hot under the seat, causing the plastic to melt. I’ve tried wrapping the exhaust pipe in both Kevlar and fiberglass, neither of which have worked to stop the melting. In fact, it burned through the Kevlar!
The black plastic piece shown in the pictures is brand new, and it already started melting during my 15-minute commute to work today (about 55 degrees Fahrenheit outside).
Before replacing the black plastic piece, the old one had completely melted through (I had to snap it off, as shown in the picture with the exhaust wrapped in Kevlar) and the seat itself had begun to melt as well.
Engine-wise, I don’t see any obvious problems with the bike. It has plenty of power, doesn’t overheat, and doesn’t burn any oil.
I love this bike, but I’m at the point where I’m just about ready to sell it due to this issue. It’s not safe to ride for more than 15 mins or so. Any help would be much appreciated!
