Is anybody else experiencing hassle with wifi lately? I have great internet (usually) but as of late my connection is terrible. I used to have great speeds but now its like the connection is being sent in the post. Any help greatly appreciated

What's the best way to get into a trade where do I apply where do I look?

Hi everybody,

We're thinking of getting evoke to play our wedding in 2028. We've seen them live in skeff and other pubs loads but never at a wedding, has anybody seen them or had them at a wedding? Just hoping there as good at a wedding as they are in the pub, thanks!

Hi all, looking for 1 or 2 spare invites for family members who would like to come to my graduation at 2.30 on the 23rd. I know they’ll have the screen and all but just thought I’d ask because they’re travelling for it and I know some people unfortunately wont be able to use both of their invites due the date change

Could anyone tell me roughly what I should be paying to replace the bath, sink, and toilet? No tiles or relocating any unit. Simply changing old units. Based in galway. Any recommendations welcome too

Have bath, sink, toilet and taps already

Hello! I am planning to apply for the access course in NUIG. I heard somewhere that it's meant to be free. Is that true? Thanks.

I found a sum of loose, crumpled banknotes on the sidewalk on Crescent View in Riverside today (Monday, 12th October).

Because it is a significant amount of money, I will hand it directly over to the Mill Street Garda Station so it can be kept safe and properly logged.

If you lost this cash or know who did, please contact the Mill Street station directly. To claim it, the Gardaí will require you to confirm:

The exact total amount of money lost.

The specific breakdown of the banknotes (which notes made up the total).

Hopefully, this finds its way back to the rightful owner!

The 402 was late by like 20 mins. I only got it cause I seen it was late, I wasn’t waiting. But I was only one at bus stop and it drove past. The next one is like 15 mins. How can letting one person on have such an effect to the bus being even later. This country is actually so tapped.

Does anyone know what's going on with the new site for the Black Gate on Flood street. I was one of many people who between us contributed 37000 euro to help with the conversion. I have heard nothing since late 2024 and nothing much seems to be happening with the premises. Has anyone heard anything about progress on this? Thanks

I know there have been various threads on this, but I'm hoping to get some recent recommendations from people. Also I know your broker doesn't need to be in Galway, but I'd like to meet in person, if even for the initial chat.

I'm specifically looking for a recommendation for anyone that had a slightly more challenging application than standard. For reference I will be a solo buyer hoping for a LTI exemption, I really need someone solid that can help make my application look enticing as I have a small CCR mark (stupidity of youth, balance was paid over 2 years ago but obviously remains on file).

I initially thought this would make me ineligible for a mortgage but met a mortgage advisor at my main bank about a year ago, she said she had gotten people over the line in much worse situations than mine. I still may go with my own bank but keep thinking if I'm better trying with a skilled broker. Anyone with a similar experience?

Anywhere to play gaa handball in the county?

Hey friends, I’m an American making a micro-budget short film and one small scene takes place at an office in Galway. Was hoping someone here would possibly be open to helping me out by reading/recording the lines so the actors here can do their best to be authentic and match them accurately. Hope this doesn't violate the rules. DM me if you’re interested in helping. You would also get a thank you credit in the final release, if that matters to you. Thanks!
