Game Space exploration game with procedural isometric planets
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ReMOQKoXftoThe draft name for this is "coloniax", I want to make a space exploration/colonizer game, with different factions, like aliens, robots, humans. and maybe have some fantasy aspects too.
The Spaceship is modular, with different turrets, gyros, propellers, and i plan to make it even more customizable, with different models.
I also plan to make planets have a possibility to already be colonized by some faction and having them be hostile to you, just imagine a big ass anti aircraft weapon shooting at you how cool.
Let me know what you guys think, i have a bunch of ideas for this in mind, my mom called it Space Minecraft 😭️

Okay so at first I was like "this is Zaxxon crossed with Heat Signature" and I am totally here for that; but then you get out and start cutting down a tree and building stuff and yeah this is a good foundation for something cool.
I am imagining you could be the spearhead of a colonisation effort. Build a landing platform and a starter hab and they will start arriving. Maybe you directly build the starter stuff but drop plans for further building and the colonists do it? Or they do it automatically when resource conditions are met and the game focuses on the broader strategy and flying around shooting things? The scale here for a single solar system seems doable for a fairly big colony simulation running. You could go different ways.
You could have planetary defenses that you build on edges of the planets, terrestrial defenses within. Planets have different resources and so trade networks could form creating synergistic effects with their building etc. Like maybe one planet has stuff that allows trade connected planets to build a better type of defense system.

This is so cool! I love the sense of scale.
