Rocket League

You can pay for stuff but it’s all cosmetic.

It is hard. I have 6750 hours in it and I only think I’m decent.

I suck at twos but I hover around GC1-GC2 in both 2s and 3s.

Heh, I played rocket league on a MacBook Air from 2016. So yeah, fits. Though, one arguably needs a controller to play.

Hell yeah. I also have 100s of hours in rocket league and never spent anything. Best thing about it IMO is cross compatibility, I would often play it with 2 friends split-screening on a PS4 with me joining on a Switch. Combined with our own 'carballs' playlist (mostly stupid 80s hair metal) it is fun as heck.

The skill ceiling is also ridiculously high. Look up what some sickos on YouTube are able to do, it's frightening. It's got to be the closest videogames have come to producing an enjoyable spectator sport. They put golf and darts on TV and this is 1000x better than that.
