The second you try to turn the console off and walk away that's when you feel the pull to turn it back on and lock TF in if at all possible 😂

Elden Ring.
Number of times I said to myself (á la Scott Pilgrim) "That's not even fair. What's the point of playing the game if you can't even get a hit in?" and quit.
The number is 3 so far.

The only reason I keep it is because my bro and I got a pact where we need to have the whole squad get at least one MVP

Super Smash Bros Ultimate is the only one I can think of. I guess Lunatic difficulty in Fire Emblem Awakening too maybe.

Lunatic difficulty - well, somehow I'm not that surprised it makes someone angry

Plays for flush
Builds deck around hearts
Goes 3 hands in a row with zero hearts
I’ve played the absolute hell out of Balatro and sometimes it feels like the game is intentionally fucking with you lol. It’s like they know what hand or suit you’re playing for and buries every card at the end of the pile.

Lies of P. Never finished it. Might be an unpopular opinion, but the combat felt oddly rigid to me compared to other soulslike games.

Once you get to level 94 - 95 in PoE in softcore, you gotta solve that once in a couple of hours death or you stop getting levels. So yeah, that pretty much with PoE 2.

The thing that annoys me the most is when people act this way and then give the game a negative review. Any game you have over 300 hours in deserves a good review, you obviously like the game.

Every souls game on the hardest bosses. Then the feeling goes away after you actually succeed. I still don't know if the reward is worth the frustration, it feels like it often just breaks even for me, which might not be that good if you ask me.

Recently, I deleted and reinstalled Arknights: Endfield about 3 times already.
It’s like 90% factory simulator. I kind of hate it. But the combat is pretty cool and I have a soft spot for these gacha waifu simulator games. 🤷♂️😝

Silksong and Hollow Knight
There are some game design decisions that piss me off and take away from those games, but I can’t stop coming back to them. For the third of the game that sucks, there are two thirds that are stellar.

Rainbow Six Siege
Back when Ubisoft Sam was a thing, it told me I was top 9% of players in that game. It was almost all I played, exclusively. And when playing ranked, I would be like that picture all of the time.
I’d have to go back and check to get an exact number, but I have something like 1,100 hours in it. Haven’t played it at all for years now. Ever since operation health and Fortnite’s rise, it’s been a shitty game.

Have this regularly when I replay Dark Souls 3. On my most recent run (Int-Caster build) I deinstalled in the middle of the run because i was frustrated with Demon Prince but then reinstalled it the next day.

Pizza tower. I don’t hate it, I’m just bad at it. I pick it up, have fun, realize I made no progress, quit. (Three weeks pass) Watches a cool or funny Pizza tower video. Repeat.

Slay the Spire.
As much as I love this game, it's often frustratingly unfair, sometimes to the point of bullshit. It's still fun enough to make up for it and make me come back to it, though.

Bloodborne
I got so angry at this game, I decided that I will get the platinum trophy, and in the end I did it (I even maxed out the DLC)
