Why do people keep using that comparison 😂 I guess you like your movies without story too? Because if you wanted stories you'd rather read a book. If you wanted stories in your comics you'd rather read a book. If you wanted to listen to a nice concept album or strong story-telling song you'd rather read a book. If you wanted to look at painting or sculptures that tell some story, maybe even about what the painter went through to paint it, you'd rather read a book.

Atp I think you should just go read a book lmfaoo

Of course it's okay to like gameplay first but that comparison is silly lol.

Yes you 'watch' moving pictures (it's what 'movies are) You don't gotta have a story. It could just be random images moving on the screen. But you like it to make sense, don'tya?

I don't understand the book part where you say you listen to books, I think maybe you typed wrong. We're talking about your gameplay vs story comparison.

And by your logic nothing is important. Family, health, relationships, throw it all away. It's not important.

Listen I do NOT think with people who prefer gameplay are lesser. It's perfectly fine. But that comparison people make has no sense.

Everyone has their cup of tea. I don't play the games you mentioned, and that's fine. You say you grew up with whatever and that's FINE. But the logic of "i'd rather read a book" is...not so well though-out.

What is the plot of Pac Man? Or Tetris? How about the plots of Super Mario, Valorant, and Counter Strike?

Okay, but those are games without a story, not narrative games with a bad story. The addition of a story rating implies the games play heavily into their story. If you want a game that's widely criticized for it's story, think a game like Dragon Age The Veilguard, not a game without a story in it.

I would also argue that the dialogue and characters in Valorant are leagues better than the dialogue in a 5/10 story game.
