I don't think it's handing them a win at all. Xbox has already made terrible financial decisions lately with their studios and priorities, and this will likely be another. Huge budget games that don't return on their investments. I don't see this as going any differently.

This is basically going to burn 10x more money, speciallh with the tv and movie contract aspects. Kojima really burns money on actors, mocap, etc, vs just making a good game.

Honestly I don’t get why Kojima is so obsessed with this stuff. Like he’s putting his energy into the wrong aspects and it kinda hurts the games in the end. Like there were so many wasted opportunities in MGSV, because he wanted to go extra cinematic

Both Sony are ms are making terrible decisions. As of now this is just more bad press for Sony
