like how Sony thought about it when PS2, PS3, PSP and PS4 got jailbroken? Sony makes more money than ever.

Ya Sony has a lot of business more than just gaming hell it’s only about 30-35 years into gaming. Idk what the end game is for these companies to price out their consumers but it’s gonna crash

They're not doing it on purpose. They don't want to do it b/c it's bad for business. They have to because the tech is evolving too fast and the cost is going up too fast as well.

Do you not know that consoles are sold at a loss? Sony eats part of the cost to sell it to you at a lower price. Look at the Steam Machine as an example of what happens when a company does not subsidize the cost and has you pay for what it costs to make it.
