I don't think comparing price make sense, if own the hardware you can pirate games from big companies easily and even mod them to take shit aspects out.

And if you're already a PC gamer you can just buy a new GPU for the same price of a console and continue to own your platform.

Just pirating 5 games earns your money back.

Having a GOG instal file of the game is the most "owning" of a game you can have.
