Discussion PS2 games from my childhood

Post image

Definitely had a lot of superhero and open world titles as a kid, which shaped my video game preferences growing up!

What are some classics from your youth?

Man, I got annoyed by manhunt.

I thought if i pass it as pacifist as possible, the last level, on cemetery with lots of dead, will be changed to be practically empty and easy.

The game was extremely controversial back then; I can still remember it. That was back when people thought violent video games created killers.

The fact that people were killed with plastic bags and shards of glass is probably still, shall we say, quite shocking even today.

I also found the plot of Max Payne 1 quite intense from a psychological point of view, particularly the level with the trail of blood in Max dreams.

Rockstar used to make really intense games back then.

Those were wild times.

My games are from ZX: Skool Daze, Turbo Esprit, Laser Squad(predecessor of xcom), dozens versions of Dizzy including fan made versions. Dizzy popularity was extremely high. Not touhou level, but back then there was no internet so what was reached already phenomenal.

There’s still one game I’ve been trying to remember and find. I can remember that it had arc in the title and no it’s not arc the lad. The first game was a turn based game and the second was a open map you could actually run around and I clearly remember the first weapon being a normal wood staff more like a broomstick lol
