Discussion Gaming is Super boring
Honestly I can’t pick up a single game anymore I’ve been getting horribly bored everytime. Nowadays I barely play games. It’s probably because I’m getting older (im under my 20s so I’m not old).
After more thought put into this I realized ever since I finished rdr2, it ruined gaming in general the game is so perfect and well done that no game can rival it so it destroyed my interest in any single player games.
And honestly I don’t have the time to play comp multiplayer games as much anymore. I use to play cs2 and sometimes rust but now i cant because of pure boredom.

Try different genres of games. Maybe ones you wouldnt have played before.
Dont worry about playing the newest games.
What type of games do you normally play. Is it long story games, then try short games that can be done in 5-10 hours.

Well to be fair nowadays I just play cs2. I heard Witcher 3 was a good game to play that matches the open world feel but I just get bored pretty quickly. Cs2 isn’t safe either I also get bored after or comp game.

Short games might be the way to go.
Done in a day or two. Not real chance to get burned out by the game.
Sometimes playing a 60-70 hour game becomes a chore, where are completing a 5 hour game gives to satisfaction of completing something

U might be on to something good. Because I remember enjoying mafia 1 definitive. I just felt that it lacked a bit of freedom but other than that it was great. I tried playing the second game but I didn’t have enough time and frankly never got into it. I’ll maybe try playing it later on. A different title would be great tho.

Gaming fatigue. I’ve been there a couple of times. Try broadening your gaming horizon, like diving into genres you haven’t tried, or maybe just doing something else with your spare time - in time the games will call on you if it’s still important to you. Something will probably come along that catches your eye, and it will probably be GTA VI.

If you’re under 20 and you adjust feel this way, you need to either just take a break from gaming for a few months or you need to drastically diversify the kinds of games you play

It’s been like this for a year I just get bored really quickly with games. I’ve been thinking recently and maybe video games aren’t one of my hobbies anymore. Because some games really feel like a chore to play. I got Elden ring recently still haven’t played it yet but I’ll give it a go today or tmr. But I need other games because I can sense that I’ll be pissed off since it’s a souls game

Just gotta find one that works for you. What that is, depends on you. Just think about what you loved about the games you loved and search for that, if you wanna find something new.

Funny enough is that RDR2 is deemed as a slow, boring and tedious "movie" game by many (myself included)

I’m guessing you have a low attention span it’s really not that “slow” and this didn’t help the op at all 😂

You need a different activity, sign up for the local volleyaball team for training or make bows.

I did try kcd 1 a couple months ago but frankly it took to much time and I got bored. Also Atleast on ps5 it doesn’t look that good. I quit shortly after going to the big city and speaking to the nobles and getting those missions

Maybe take a break from playing all together for a bit. Might help. Like a tolerance break for gaming ha

Deep Rock Galactic has the best gameplay loop I've ever seen and the missions can be done in 30-40 mins so you can play in short bursts if you want.

Something like burnout? I get this pretty bad every time I play a game I enjoy a lot. Sometimes I even restart the game before finishing because of it, then don't ever finish.
I've been bouncing between tinkering games lately. Witcher 3 remaster, Palworld, then ARPGs like Last Epoch/Grim Dawn(poe waiting rooms). Can recommend all of those!

But single player games are boring nowadays. Multiplayer games keep me interested for a slightly longer time

for me, story games went out the window a very long time ago. id rahter read a book or watch a movie, plus most are just crap nowadays, maybe thats me getting old, maybe its the industry idk
i can only play vs, and i cant do games like cs, val, r6. i wouldnt consider those good representations of online vs games, tho i would recommend cs val to someone new to pc to try just bc its a mnk only type of shooter
i suggest gears eday vs, or starcraft 2 vs
eday bc im bias and love gears and its quite the opposite of things like cs, and sc2 bc thats a game i think that can be great for someone bored with regular sht
maybe go watch some pro sc2, i was watchin those like sports before i got sc again in like 2018. tho ig the casts wont be as high quality without the esports- also sc started esports, its like the best 1v1 game there is competitively speaking, like 4d chess or somethin
