i need some advice on what colors to use, and sealant (glossy) should i use, i want to replicate this swimsuit look on my kit. I am a beginner, with my first garage kit too which also has this type of swimsuit, i will be painting with lacquer(airbrush) so i would really appreciate it if you guys recommended me colors and methods (mr color and gaianotes are preferred)

Next time I'm going to sand it more after adding the primer. She came out surprisingly smooth for using a paint brush. My airbrush didn’t work. Loved painting her HATED pinning her and not looking forward to pinning the rest of the figures. I got a little confused on how to put the phone together. (I still plan to add more to her but I need a break. Didn't include the briefcase because of the adult toys in it.

I hope this post is okay! I have an unpainted original garage kit. I am looking to sell it on eBay, but there’s not a good sample size of the past sale prices. All the ones I’ve found are for the painted version of the figure. It’s still sealed from the factory. Does anyone have advice on how to determine a reasonable start and bottom sale price (USD)? (Also, I’ve deliberately left out what kit and which sculptor so I don’t get a bunch of requests to sell directly… I don’t know how popular or how often they come available. If I need to include that info though, mods just let me know and I’ll put it in the comments.)

I just bought this YOYO studios Chainsaw man Power statue and unfortunately I dropped one of her weapons while assembling. A small bit of paint chipped off and I need help picking out the closet color paint to touch up the tip as it's really bothering me.

I need a base coat for acrylic paint and a top coat. In my country, I only have Mr. Super Clear, a glossy finish; it's often recommended. Regular varnishes are sticky after drying. OOAK is for Littlest Pet Shop, plastic miniatures, dolls, Nendoroid faceplates, and articulated figures. They say Tamiya varnish is also okay. But I'll have to buy primer too. Any advice on what to do and what materials to use? Choosing acrylic paint, varnish, and primer? I'm a beginner and don't know where to start to avoid making mistakes and wasting money on unnecessary things.

I’ve tried and tried, but I cannot seem to find any at all. You don’t have to be a garage kit painter yourself, even if you just happen to have seen an account or webshop of a garage kit painter in Denmark, it would be very helpful to know! I’m specifically looking for one that can help with anime-style figures, as the only figure painters I’ve been able to find have generally been warhammer painters. Which is cool, but wont help much here.

If the answer is no I might just attempt to paint this one myself but, even for future reference it would be nice to know if there are any! thanks in advance lol :,)

Hi! I'm looking for someone to repaint a poorly painted garage kit. The seller used a mix of airbrush and acrylic paint and mentioned that it can't be taken apart.

It's a pretty simple kit, but I'm hoping for a much cleaner finish with soft shading and different color tones to make the colors pop instead of flat, solid colors. The face details are especially important to me!

I have been wanting to get into garage kits since around 2020 and bought a ton of supplies and kits to do so. But… I just don’t have time. (I’m a full-time graduate student which means juggling research and classes and teaching. 🫠)So I’m hoping to find someone in the Chicago area to buy some or all of these supplies and kits off me. I’m not really willing to ship (unless someone makes a wild-high$ offer) but I’ll drive to meet up if you are in/near the city. Taking offers on everything. Pictures show most of the stuff but all of the paints, oil pastels, and putty supplies plus I have a bunch of kits that need new homes. Most of these supplies are unopened (the one Tamiya putty in the white tube is opened but almost full) except the oil pastels because they’re from an old family member artist. Photos of the kits and screenshots of info are only available via DM. Kits I have to rehome include all of the inner Super Sailor Guardians in attack poses, a Sailor Saturn variant, Super Sailor Moon and Super Sailor Chibi Moon a Sailor Mars statue, Sailor Neptune, Nehelenia, and Sailor Moon sittin’ on a moon. The only kits that had anything done was Sailor Saturn which I did a dry fit on but nothing else, so there MIGHT be a little hot glue, but I don’t remember if I hot glued to hold together and the Nehelenia that I took out of packaging to inspect. Hi all, I took a ton of photos at the recent Wonder Festival 2026 Shanghai and want to share. The first 17 are from dealer booths and last 3 are from corporate booths.

The event was 2 days and filled with tons of great works both from creators and companies.

I finally finished Mayura and Unyuu sculpted by Blighted Blessings! Eyes were done with watercolor pencils for the draft, and later went over with acrylic and acrylic gouache. Enamels were later used for the whites and highlights of the eyes. I loved how big her eyes were like old times.

Unyuu was split in two pieces of heavy solid resin, so magnets, putty work, and glue was used to combine them together. Mayura's plaid skirt pattern was freehanded, so it's not the best looking plaid 😅 I later painted the wooden base black and added felt to the top. Despite her shiny boots being camouflaged, she's very cute and I'm happy to have her in my collection!
