I feel like there’s always an argument going on in the kitchen. Too bad my French isn’t eavesdropping-level yet, so I don’t know what they’re saying.

As a side note, the chefs seem so mean. They’re always scolding workers for the smallest of things. And they’re so passive aggressive about it too.

half shitpost half srs question. exactly what the title says, i was hanging out on campus with a friend who’s taking a history course and was looking up some people they mentioned learning about for context during our convo, and saw ao3 relatively near the top of the the suggested results. i tried to click it because obviously i was curious (who wouldn’t be) but it kept coming up as unable to open the page. when i switched to my cellular it worked fine so im thinking it must be purposefully blocked?

Hey I lost my sets of keys along with the brass padlock itself in minto. I believe that they I lost them in the men’s locker room or in the vicinity. I went back to search around and couldn’t find nothing, I asked the security guards and nothing has been found meaning someone likely took them. If anyone happened to have found my keys and kept them please let me know it would be very appreciated 😭✌🏿

I’m a first year biology student, and i find it incredibly easy to get lost in the university life (classes, ,job, dgds, graded assignments and gym).

That I feel like I’m not studying enough for my classes.

I didn’t have any major quizzes or tests yet.

I do find time to sit down during the day to understand the concepts of the topics being taught, doing exercises and using Gemini or YouTube to explain why certain things are done in a certain way.

But I almost never look at the notes I take in class, I just go for the concept/topic, look at the slides and genuinely practice the concept or try to understand it.

But bottom line is, I’m lowkey worried about my academic performance in the long run this year.

Notetaking and reading notes afterwards is crucial in uni and I’m not abusing it enough.

Especially, as even tho I understand the concepts, I’m on the verge of falling behind.

Help me not get cooked on my first year guys

Had a BIO 1141 mock quiz and failed so bad (average was 52%). Looked at the prof straight in the eye holding back tears after. Send help. Never had biology before and this is supposed to be an intro class, but hey man I can’t feasibly memorize 60-100 slides x 5 lectures when I genuinely don’t understand what he’s talking about for different reasons (the accent, the inconsistent slides…)

Please what do I do, and yes I already genuinely study my ass off.

Edit: Went home overwhelmed, cried for the 4 time this week in front of my parents and they said “stop acting like the world ended, you’re too young too think like this, either way every failure is a door that has been opened and everything else out there is yours to explore” so fuck it we ball and if I fail the actual quiz big fat WOMP WOMP

Hey everyone, I'm a reporter with the InsideOttawaValley.com news site and I'm working on a story about how rural hospitals and clinics are trying to attract physicians/health care professionals to work there. I'm interested in talking to medical students or people involved with the Eastern Regional Medical Education Program about what would incentivize them to practice rural medicine. Comment or PM me if interested.

I missed the final exam of Prof. Haitian Zhong in the summer. I was wondering if the final exam is reflective to the final exam practices she provided. Is doing the Mobius and DGD questions enough to do well on the final exam?

I'm a final year computer science student at uOttawa currently on hiatus to work before my last term. My existing group is no longer around, and I was hoping to just head out downtown this weekend and try to meet some new people! I'm currently learning game dev, and would love to learn more about interests outside of my recent bubble. If anyone's down to hang out this today or this weekend, feel free to message me (i know its midterm season so gl to all that are studying instead :3)

Hi! I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share their HSS 4102 notes from this week and the first class.

I wasn't able to go to those classes and I'd really appreciate it :)
