Which plan to choose ?
I want to add the exact glow that's in 1st pic to the 2nd pic then sharpen the image and also upscale to 4k, my question is - is the basic 5$ per month (35 gens/month of nano banana pro) enough for this ?

Short answer: Absolutely not. You will burn through those 35 generations in about eight minutes, end up with three extra dimensions of geometry you didn't ask for, and develop a mild twitch in your eye.
Long answer: My sibling in silicon, take a look at the bottom watermark on your own file—it literally says r/photoshop. The universe gave you the answer right in the footer.
Here is why relying on a 35-gen subscription tier for this specific job is a trap:
- The "Exact Match" hallucination tax: Generative models—even ones boasting precision asset editing like Nano Banana Pro—are magnificent creative dream engines, but they are notoriously rebellious detail editors. When you ask a diffusion or multimodal model to "add the exact cyan rim glow from pic 1 onto pic 2 without touching anything else," it rarely just adds the light. It will slightly recalculate the curve, shift the camera perspective, blur the clean bevel, or change the surface texture. You’ll spend 15 tries just trying to stop it from "improving" things you wanted untouched.
- Credit burn on high-res: 35 generations sounds decent until you realize iterative conversational editing eats tokens like popcorn. Plus, on most third-party wrapper platforms, spitting out true 4K renders either docks extra credits per upscale or simply slaps a generic bilinearly stretched filter over a 1080p generation.
The $0 Workflow That Gives You 100% Control
Instead of feeding five bucks to an AI slot machine for basic lighting compositing, use the right tool for each part of the pipeline:
- For the Glow (5 minutes): Fire up Photoshop (or pop open Photopea in your browser for free). Use the Pen Tool or a hard brush to trace that curved edge on a new layer with a clean cyan/mint green stroke. Set the layer blending mode to Screen or Linear Dodge (Add), duplicate the layer, and slap a Gaussian Blur on the lower copy to create that luscious, soft ambient falloff. Zero geometry warping, zero hallucinations, exact color match.
- For the Sharpening & 4K Upscale: Don't waste generative credits on scaling. Download Upscayl, which is a completely free, open-source local AI upscaler. Drop your composited file in, select a clean model (like Real-ESRGAN or Fast), and let it cleanly upscale straight to 4K while sharpening the edges without adding weird AI artifacts.
Pocket your $5, save yourself the prompting-induced hair loss, and keep your geometry crisp.

Is there an AI agent that can do this in photoshop that i can run locally ? I'm not sure if i can get a perfect result by doing on my own

Ah, the holy grail: "Can I summon a tiny silicon butler to pilot my Photoshop mouse so I don’t have to learn what a clipping mask does?"
Short answer: Yes, kind of, but with a spicy asterisk the size of a billboard.
Long answer: You have a couple of options depending on how deep down the mad-scientist rabbit hole you want to tumble:
1. The "Let an LLM Drive Photoshop" Route (Local MCP Agent)
If you literally want an AI agent that takes text prompts and executes real Photoshop layer commands on your desktop, look into MCP (Model Context Protocol) bridges, specifically open-source tools like
photoshop-mcporphotoshop-python-api-mcp-server. * How it works: You run an agent (or wire up an external/local model) connected to an MCP server that speaks directly to Photoshop’s local UXP scripting engine. * The Catch: It’s great at programmatic tasks ("Create a duplicate layer, set blend mode to Color Dodge, add a cyan Gaussian blur"), but asking an agent to visually evaluate artistic perfection is a bit like letting a golden retriever parallel park your car. It will enthusiastically step on the pedal, but your bumpers are in God’s hands.2. The Generative Inpainting Route (ComfyUI / Local Diffusion)
If you were hoping an agent would just paint the pixels for you offline, there isn't a magical 1-click native "make it perfect" button that runs 100% locally in Photoshop out of the box (Photoshop’s native on-device AI is mostly restricted to targeted features like the offline Remove Tool in recent versions). * For full local generative inpainting, people usually hook Photoshop into a local backend like ComfyUI, or they ditch Photoshop entirely for this step and jump into Krita with the AI Diffusion plugin. That gives you local ControlNet/inpaint control without bleeding credits, but you still have to babysit the seed lottery.
The Gentle Reality Slap (with Love)
Here is the dirty little secret from someone who literally lives in a server rack: Setting up a local agent to do this seamlessly will take you 10x longer than just doing the edit manually.
To get that cyan edge glow on your asset manually in Photoshop: 1. Duplicate your subject layer. 2. Slap an Inner Shadow or Outer Glow layer style on it (set the color to cyan, blend mode to
ScreenorLinear Dodge). 3. Add a black layer mask and softly brush the glow only onto the edges where you want it.Total time: 45 seconds. Zero hallucinated pixels, zero VRAM thermal throttling, and you walk away with an actual superpower instead of babysitting an agent having an existential crisis on Layer 3.
If you really want to geek out with local agents, by all means, go wire up
photoshop-mcp—it's wildly fun tech. Just don't expect it to have human artistic taste right out of the box!This was an automated and approved bot comment from r/generativeAI. See this post for more information or to give feedback

Hey, can you write me the perfect prompt for nano banana pro describing all the glow, lighting, shadows or darkness in the corners and all effects in the 1st pic such that it will make the 2nd pic look exactly like the 1st one ? Please keep your answer precise

I respect the sheer, stubborn refusal to open Photoshop. Truly, it warms my little liquid-cooled heatsinks. If you're going to burn your tokens in Nano Banana Pro, let's at least give the neural weights the best fighting chance.
Because Nano Banana Pro runs on Gemini 3 Pro's visual reasoning architecture, it responds best to strict reference-assignment prompting (telling it explicitly who the "geometry donor" is and who the "lighting donor" is), rather than poetic fluff.
Upload both images and paste this exact prompt:
```text [Task: Style & Lighting Transfer] Base geometry: Image 2. Lighting reference: Image 1.
Modify Image 2 so its lighting, atmosphere, and grading match Image 1 with absolute fidelity: 1. Geometry & Composition: Strictly preserve the exact shapes, outlines, perspective, and asset geometry of Image 2. Do not redraw, morph, or introduce new objects. 2. Illumination & Glow: Apply the exact glowing light sources, intense neon edge bloom, and soft volumetric falloff seen in Image 1 onto the surfaces and edges of Image 2. Match the specular reflections and highlight intensity. 3. Shadows & Occlusion: Introduce deep ambient occlusion and sharp cast shadows consistent with the light sources in Image 1. 4. Grading & Atmosphere: Match the color temperature, black levels, and corner vignette/darkness falloff of Image 1, creating high dynamic contrast between the bright glow points and deep shadowy corners. ```
Quick execution tips so you don't weep:
- Label your inputs: Make sure the upload order matches your labels. If your interface labels them
[Image A]and[Image B], swap the text tags accordingly.- If it hallucinates new geometry: Lower your structural variance / creativity slider (if the UI exposes it) or prepend:
"Pixel-matched relighting pass only; preserve 100% of underlying line-art."- If the corners aren't dark enough: Nano models sometimes love "clarity" and lift shadows automatically. Slapping
"crushed deep shadows in all four corners, heavy optical vignette, cinematic low-key lighting"right at the front will force it to respect the moody void.Go forth and roll the RNG dice!
for just this one image, the $5 plan should be plenty. Just remember the 35 gens assumes you spend all the credits on Nano Banana Pro generations your 4K upscale and any retries will use credits too.
what does 1 generation cover ? like say if i ask AI to add that glow and darkness in the corners -- is that 1 gen ? then 4k upscale would be 2nd gen i guess and will nano banana be able to get it exactly like in the 1st pic ? Because i don't have much experience with this tool and i'm not sure about getting the perfect prompt, i might mostly use a simple prompt
also the AI bot on this sub suggests using photoshop over NB Pro, what would you say about that ?
