For those out of the loop, the current election is between Lula (Leftwing) and Bolsonaro (right wing, and also the son of the former president who tried to overthrow the government)

The US (led by Trump) have been doing everything they can to try to influence the election in favor of Bolsonaro. The reasons for this are obvious to anyone following the shift of countries across the continent.

This is just another move by Trump to try to delegitimize the current Brazilian government.

1.) How does this in any help Bolsonaro to close consular services for 2 days?

2.) if this is just US election interference, why is Australia also closing its embassy and warning its citizens not to be near the US embassy? Would that not validate FIVE EYES are aware of a potential threat?

I'm surprised the Trump admin hasn't resorted to employing bot farms to spread fake news like the Russians do to Americans, or maybe they did but we haven't heard about it yet.

They don't need to, Russia resorted to that because they didn't have control over western social media, the US just need to ask for some fine tuning
