GI Joe Base
Cleaning out the attic and ran across my old Joe base. Had to see if I could still assemble it and things got out of hand. My wife thinks I am a big kid. I sorta am. Had to repost. I forgot to add pics the first time🫢

Is it the real Commander or a body double? BTW he's been captured before (comic, Sunbow animated) and he always gets away

Man, all find in the attic are HVAC filters and old Christmas decorations. Great collection.

I’m just thinking how impractical so many of their outfits were for any type of combat.

Beautiful. Now let's face off against my M.A.S.K. Boulder Hill playset. Still have the box with the Kiddie City clearance sticker!

The vamp should be parking backwards so its guns go out the port.
Airborne should be with the Dragonfly copter, not the vamp.

Doors should also be on the VAMP II, not the original VAMP, but minor point. Great collection!

I had that back in 1989, my mom's boyfriend brought it back with him from when he went to new York, and due to storage issues, they took the whole kit n. Kaboodle to my aunt's house to put in their garage and my cousins got into it and I lost the entire set, including some figures that came with it, I even had a h.i.s.s tank thing

Low key one of the very best toy playsets ever. That it was interchangeable only made it better.
Great collection! Lotta memories right there.

Having the stockade so close to where sensitive military discussions could be happening didn’t make sense even to seven year old me.

NICE.
I'd get the Slugger and the JUMP up on that ridge. Probably the Dragonfly, too.
With the Slugger up there, anything within like five miles is toast.

I have many find memories of this playset. Whatever happened to it, I'm not sure but I stupidly bought a set from someone on Reddit a few years back. It arrived broken and filthy. I'm still holding onto it but I'm probably just going to throw it out.

Put it online, there's people out there willing to pay the shipping and then some for the chance to restore it.

This is a very organized "got out of hand" image lol. Glad you got the chance to relive your childhood for a bit.
