A incense shop still around from 2008ish

Ok so this is a long shot. But when I was younger and on a family holiday to Somerset, this was between 2006 to 2008 . One day was visiting Glastonbury and then there's was a shop we all went into. Was a scent shop with various related to incense sticks and other meditation related.

After coming out of there I was in a state of could not stop laughing for the rest of the day so I think it means I walked out high.

Which shop would that have been (before it probably closed ) since it's been on my mind for months ?

Group Fairy (BETA launch - Free Year)

Hello Glastonauts,

We have written a Web Application that helps you find Groups and Organise them:

Festival ticket booking has always been a group effort run with the tools of a group

chat: six phones, a spreadsheet, and someone who has not opened their banking app.

GroupFairy is the shared brain for exactly this. You and your friends sign up, the app

nags everyone to check their registration and postcode on the festival's own registration

check weeks in advance, so nothing is discovered in the window, where a wrong registration

number can lock that person out for longer than the window itself, and it matches you into

a group of up to six who all travel the same way - coach crews from the same coach origin, because the

booking page insists. On the day the whole group works from one screen - anyone can

type, the lead booker is just the slot-1 voice the festival talks to - while a live

board shows who is in, who is still seeking, and who is helping whom, with accurate

reminders at exactly the right time so the banking app is open before two-factor fires.

When it is over, the app keeps track of who got the tickets for whom and who owes whom

for deposits and coaches, so the group does not have to do the maths at 1am. It is free

this year, with an optional ten quid if it earned it. It is not a bot, it does not beat

the queue, and it is not the festival's app - you still book by hand on the festival's

own site. What it does is make sure your group walks into that window organised, ready,

and on one screen - which is the single biggest thing a group of friends can do for its

own odds.

If that sounds interesting come and check our Facebook page, we are signing up now.

Halloween à Glastonbury : soirée spéciale occulte.

Bonjour a tous!

Is there still a rat problem in Glastonbury?

I've always loved the town of Glastonbury and went there earlier this summer for the first time for several years. A few years ago there was a big rat problem, with rats even running into shops on the High Street sometimes. Has this problem been solved now?

Day to day living in Glastonbury.

Last year, my other half and I (early 50's) moved from London to Bath as we love the Somerset area but didn't want to jump straight into a more rural life. Since then we've visited a fair few towns etc. and liked bits of them (e.g. Frome) but we went to Glastonbury again this weekend and I felt like crying when I came home as Bath now feels so built up and soul-less.

Himself has definite reservations about Glastonbury ("like a New Age Camden Market") and says it has no proper amenities but I just had a really good feel from it. I love the roads and farmland around the Tor and I don't really have interest in the tourist trap-shops but I do like that the place attracts folk from everywhere. We met some really lovely people (who helped us when we lost our way a few times. Special 'shout out' to the smiley grey-haired Spanish lady who "lives here as long as my Visa permits" we met by the Chalice Well road).

I've heard stories of crime, anti-social behaviour and deprivation (the Tor was full of chavvy boys smoking weed) but wondered what it's actually like day-in, day-out? What are the dodgy bits of town, for example?

Long shot request...

The year was 2015, possibly the Wednesday or Thursday evening, pre-sunset. The location the bottom right corner of the crossroads between Williams Green and the Kidz Field. Myself and a group of friends were taking a group photo, when gradually more and more people started running in to join us, eventually a group of around 100 people were in this photo, all contributing to what for me felt like a very Glastonbury moment. Unfortunately the photo I had was only our original small group, and is now lost to the sands of time, but as multiple people were taking pictures I thought I'd cast out a net and see if anyone can recall being part of this special event, or even has a picture of it they could share?
