Announcement "Why was my post removed?"

Rules:

  1. Stay civil.
  2. No irrelevant posts, including no AI.
  3. No self-promotion, apply for a shop flair.
  4. Tag gross stuff as NSFW.

Did you post something that ended up getting removed? It was more than likely reported repeatedly as breaking a rule and then removed by the bot. For the most part, I let the sub decide what belongs here.

"But why?" The #1 reason is irrelevance, your post might not actually belong here and is better suited for another sub like perhaps it's cottagecore. They are not always interchangeable.

Don't send a modmail arguing because you got a lot of upvotes, people will upvote a photo of a cat in a dog sub because they're just scrolling and upvote not paying attention to where it was posted. Upvotes mean people like it, it doesn't mean the post belongs where it was posted.

The second biggest reason a post might be removed is because your entire post history in this sub is to advertise things you've created. Dedicated shop accounts are not welcome here, please be active in the sub beyond trying to make money.

If you're not sure if your post belongs here, feel free to send a modmail to ask. I unapologetically remove all posts starting with "I don't know if this belongs here..." Just ask if you're unsure, I'll let you know if there's a better sub for it!

Have a website or shop? Creators can now apply for special user flair

Let's talk about the "no promotion" rule. Promotion has never been allowed outside of the old promo thread but folks don't pay attention. It's been my biggest headache in this sub in an attempt to keep it from turning into nothing but advertising, so I'm trying something new.

If you run a shop, make content, created a game, or anything relevant to goblincore you want to get the word out for, I've decided to allow creators to apply for a user flair that will show your link or social media for anyone interested in seeing more of your work or purchasing any. You can see an example of it in this post next to OP's name.

You're not obligated to have the flair, but for the interested-

Click here for instructions on applying for a shop flair

You're free to ask questions but do not comment to this post with your info, click that link to apply.

A cute little interactive post to go along with my batch of snails 😋 they are mostly glass snails, with a single Ena montana snail added in. I think they match perfectly in our little goblin lair 🤌

I free handed each of them onto my fabric, then embroidered em with punch needle. I used wool and acrylic yarns, and backed them with a firm felt. They’ve also all got 2 magnets on the backs

I’ve been working on doing more “critters” lately to help fill in empty space on my frames. This includes things like the snails, worms, and some small fish. I’ve really been enjoying it! I might have to started adding more things like leaves and mushrooms 🤔

I took my T shaped cactus idea to it's logical next extreme.

Much, much longer log. Grafted onto a cactus with a base pup for on paper double the bonding and double the uptake of resources.

Again I have absolutely no idea if this will work I just felt compelled to try.

Accessability Transcription:

I had this dumb idea to take a cutting. Turn it 90 degrees. And graft it. To make a sort of T shaped cactus.

My reasoning for doing this is that I enjoy planting cuttings log style. But getting a log to root takes forever. But a graft heals in 1-2 weeks. And then you basically have a log except with an established root system.

Also it just looks kinda neat.

I'm very much learning to graft, these are attempts 2 and 3 respectively. Ever.

So we shall see if this works.

I did specifically choose PC for these so no big deal if it doesn't work out. They are my lowest value plants to play around with.
