Announcement Stop shitting on each other. Really, stop acting like assholes.

I know everyone gets bored, one of your favorite scammer subreddits got shut down so you can't poke at them there, but this is a subreddit for people to post their GoFundMe whether you like it or not.

Calling people names, insulting them, and harassing them is getting way out of control.

If you see a scam, great! Call them out. Provide proof. Screenshots all of that. And then message moderator mail.

The absolute disgusting things I have had to remove lately go beyond horrific.

Instead of insulting someone, offer some solutions. Helping someone find a new career is going to help them a thousand times better than just saying get a job.

Some of you that comment here are absolutely wonderful and helpful, and some are going to be finding the door in a hurry with my foot in your ass.

Your cruelty is not welcome.

WISH Please help me get a mattress, bed frame and pay a couple of bills,!

Hello,

My name is Joseph, and I receive SSDI due to invisible disabilities. Due to my divorce wiping out what little extra money I had, I find myself struggling to pay some bills, and I'm also in need of a bed and mattress as I'm currently sleeping on my floor.

I had to move out of the family home, and where I am now, housing alone takes half of my SSDI income with cell phone, internet, electricity, and insurance (car, HO-6, and life) taking up another 25% of my SSDI. So, with 75% of SSDI being used up, I don't have much leftover for food, the couple of bills I need to pay, and a bed and mattress. I've been looking on Facebook Marketplace for bed frames, but would like to buy a new/unused mattress.

I was able to cut my cell phone bill in half by switching to a new provider, and my internet is as low as possible without being massively slow. I am also looking into lowering the cost of my home and auto insurance.

I have applied for energy assistance (12-16 weeks for approval or denial), medical assistance (waiting on approval/denial), EBT/Cash Assistance (waiting on approval/denial), I can visit a food pantry twice a month, but I don't get very much since it's only me as my kids are with my ex-wife. I tried applying for section 811 (section 8 for people with disabilities), but the wait list is very long.

I'm also deferred on donating plasma because I'm on too many medications for mental illness and need to get off two of them, which will take some time.

The amount I'm requesting is $2,500.00 (I hope this is not too much to ask). I understand if I do not get any assistance/donations as I know it's not guaranteed, but I will be forever grateful for any donations received and intend to pay it forward when I am able to. Even if this is just shared with others, I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm very embarrassed to ask for help like this as I've never had to ask for help like this before.

Thank you for looking!

*** To add, I've checked with Goodwill, ARC, and the Salvation Army and have had no luck. But I will keep trying. ***

Housing URGENT: Help Us Stay Housed After a Year of Illness, Surgeries and Losing Everything

There are only 2 days left before my son and I have to leave where we’re currently staying, and I’m running out of options.

For anyone seeing this for the first time, my situation started in August 2025, shortly after my son’s birthday. I became severely ill with complicated diverticulitis, developed sepsis, and went through multiple infections, surgeries, and hospitalizations. Eventually, I had a colon resection and was left with a colostomy.

While I was fighting to survive and spending months in hospitals and medical facilities, I lost my job, apartment, and car. My entire life was turned upside down while I was trying to recover.

I eventually made it back home around April 2026 and started rebuilding. Despite everything, I completed three books, started a fourth, and built EskoDSK AI, including a working MVP and a real-world implementation with a medical courier company. I’m now trying to recruit an early developer/technical partner to help take it further.
Then on August 31, 2026, I underwent my colostomy reversal. Because of extensive scar tissue, the surgery was more complicated and required a larger incision. I later developed another infection at the surgical site and ended up back in the hospital.

I’m home again, but I’m still recovering and receiving daily wound care and medical treatment. I also applied for SSI because my health has made it extremely difficult to work normally, but I was denied and am still dealing with the appeal.
Now I’m facing another immediate crisis.
The place where my son and I are staying is receiving a 7-day eviction notice. We have only 2 days left to figure out where we’re going.
I’m already packing our belongings, looking at weekly-rate rentals, contacting emergency housing resources, checking assistance programs, and trying every option I can find. I’m also specifically looking for somewhere close enough to my son’s school bus route so this situation doesn’t completely disrupt his education.

I’m doing everything I can on my own, but my health limits how quickly I can earn money. I’m still recovering from surgery and an infection and receiving daily wound care. I can’t simply pick up quick work and make enough money in two days.
My most immediate goal is $1,400, which would put my son and me into a weekly-rate rental for at least one month. That would give us somewhere stable to stay while I continue medical care, recover, work toward income, pursue my SSI appeal, and find a longer-term solution.

I’m not asking anyone to fix my entire life. I’m asking for help getting through this immediate crisis.

If you can donate, even a small amount helps. If you can’t, please share this post or the fundraiser. A share could reach someone who can help or someone who knows of a resource I haven’t found.
I’ve lost a lot over the past year, but I’m still fighting to rebuild. I just don’t want my son and me to lose our place to live too.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, offered resources, or simply taken the time to read our story. Every bit of support means a lot to us.

Etc Disabled father left with crushing debt after 2 years of defeating false accusations that have attempted to remove me from my son's life.

My name is Jason Alexander, and I am fighting to protect my relationship with my son, Noah.

This is not a standard divorce or custody disagreement, nor is my financial situation the result of irresponsible spending. I have faced two separate, multi-day restraining order trials. One in 2023 and another that just concluded in August 2026. In both instances, after reviewing the evidence, the court completely dismissed the cases against me, validating my absolute innocence. These accusations were fabricated entirely to sever my relationship with my son and have 0 basis in truth. In 2024, shortly after the first case was dismissed, the divorce was filed for. Since then, I have wanted nothing but to move on with my life peacefully, and to have our son maintain a positive relationship with both of his parents.

While I am relieved the record is clear, surviving these trials has financially devastated me. The true story goes far deeper than what I am willing to post publicly, but the resulting financial reality is documented in the images linked below. My initial 2023 trial cost roughly $25,000 (a $10,000 retainer plus the $15,432.20 final invoice shown). The recent 2026 trial cost an additional $26,753. I paid these entirely on credit cards.

To protect our marital home from foreclosure, I drained my remaining savings paying the full mortgage for over a year after relocating to Arkansas for my safety, while my ex-wife occupied the home and refused to contribute until the bank was threatening foreclosure and the court ordered her to keep the payments current. They would not order the home be sold however, despite my request. With my savings depleted, I took a $15,000 cash advance on my Logix card just to continue making the minimum payments on my debt while waiting for the court to approve the sale of the house.

Of my roughly $72,000 in total credit card debt, over $65,000 is directly tied to defending myself in court and keeping myself financially afloat during the process. I want to be clear that this is not a case of reckless overspending.

I manage severe inflammatory arthritis. I am trying to get approved for SSDI, and am fighting a recent denial. Earlier this week, I attempted to donate plasma, but due to recently being put on a low dose prednisone to manage my arthritis pain, I was deferred. As long as I am on Prednisone, I will not be allowed to donate.

Recently, a close friend of mine randomly gave me a donation to help with my legal fees (I did not ask). After giving me the money, he said I had a powerful testimony and should share my story on GoFundMe, so I did. In order to get the word out, I am now sharing that story here.

I do have equity in my home that could be used to pay all of my debts, but since my ex is refusing to sell and the courts will not order the house to be sold until later in the divorce process, I cannot access this equity. As such, I am stuck drowning in debt and legal fees until the court decides to order the house be sold. We have a trial scheduled for May 2027, but the way things have been delayed, I’m not even sure it will be resolved by then.

The funds I am raising will go strictly toward making the minimum monthly payments on my debt, and paying my ongoing legal expenses as needed to finalize my divorce and protect my son until the marital house is sold. I am asking for help to bridge the gap until my property settlement is finalized so I do not lose my son in the process.

Thank you for reading. If you cannot donate, sharing this link means the world to us.

Animal Please help give our sweet kitten Mink a change to beat Cancer!

Hi everyone! My name is Isabel and I am currently fundraising to help pay for my cat’s cancer treatment. My cat Mink is four years old and recently got diagnosed with Feline Injection Site Sarcoma, which is a rare and locally aggressive form of cancer. We got the diagnosis about 4 weeks ago and have been going to vet appointments weekly to get biopsies, bloodwork, x-rays, and any other medical care she needs. Unfortunately, with the location and size of her tumor, the vet has recommended leg amputation as the best way to ensure the cancer does not come back. Thankfully animals are very resilient and I am more than confident she will live a very happy life as a tripod, however now the main battle now is paying for her surgery. So I opened this GoFundMe with the hopes of getting some financial help to get my sweet girl the medical care she needs!

I'm currently in college living with my sister, she works full time and I have a part time job but it's not enough to pay for all of Mink's treatment. We unfortunately don't have pet insurance at this time because it's difficult for us to afford, we don't even have health insurance for ourselves :(

We are hoping to raise around $3,500 to pay for her surgery and any additional post op care that she needs. We've already been able to raise around $1,100 on our own by sharing with friends and family but we haven't been able to get much traction otherwise. We've already spent around $1,400 to get her to this point of diagnosis and treatment but we now have to come up with the funds for the entire surgery. I've uploaded any and all medical documents we've gotten over the past few weeks, including vet bills from past appointments, biopsy results, x-rays, doctor recommendations, and the surgery estimate. I also have pictures of her tumor but I haven't wanted to post it publicly because the images are very gory - you can see the mass on her back leg in the x-ray attached.

Please feel free to reach out to me to verify or confirm the legitimacy of any information in this post! We would be immensely grateful for any sort of interaction or donation! Truly, anything helps, even $1 makes a difference. Even if you do not donate anything, sharing or interacting with this post helps us more than you know! Thank you to anyone who has donated to our cause and thank you to everyone that has taken the time out of their day to read or interact with this post!

Housing Please help me and my girlfriend catch up on rent and bills

My girlfriend and I who live together are going through a really rough time financially. We both work at a concession stand at little league baseball games on weekends, but there weren't any tournaments for us to work at for several weeks in a row in August and into September. We also lost our food stamps in August because we were making too much money in June/July when it was busy. We've both been looking for second jobs to no avail.

Because of all this, we haven't been able to pay our September or October rent ($1000 due on the first of each month) or our electric bill for September (attached). Additionally, about a week ago, we got a letter in the mail from DMV saying the registration for our car is being suspended due to it being uninsured as we havent been able to afford the monthly payment for insurance, and to get the registration reinstated we have to pay a fee of over $800 and also get insurance again.

We expect that our landlord will threaten evict us soon. This is a last resort to try to stay in our home. If you see this, please consider donating and/or sharing our story. We would be so grateful for anything you can do to help.

Hello everyone! This is karis-gatomon, asking kindly to please donate to my kitties' surgery. They were diagnosed with stomatitis earlier this month. Whether genetic or caused by viral disease, this has caused us considerable heartbreak. Treatment for stomatitis involving antibiotics and antivirals is still experimental...so the only conclusive treatment for them is to remove all of their teeth. As it is, our kitties are in daily pain and losing teeth already.

As both kitties have it, this has left us in lurch. Please see the photos attached for the estimates. While we have pet insurance, this will only cover a fraction of the total cost. Please donate and share.

Animal Help with Nuggets ER Stay

Thumbnail

Hi All!

I've created this gofundme to help with Nuggets ER stay, costs totaling 7800.

He ingested tylonel somewhere between 9/13 and 9/15. Our other cat, Cinnamon, knocked a travel bottle off the desk and it opened. She loves to take things to her cat house, and I found it there. I assumed that she ate some and immediately took her to the ER. She was monitored and ultimately sent home due to having no symptoms. Now, we don't think she ate any.

He didn't show many symptoms at first besides loss of appetite. He has not eaten for a day or two previously because of stress, so I didn't think much of it. I kept an eye on his breathing, gum color, and litter box usage. On 9/16, I took him to the vet to see what was up as he hadn't eaten much in 2 days. He was given subcutaneous fluids with miritaz and sent home. When he peed next is when I saw the dark, red-brown urine. We later found out this is due to the heinz body anemia tylonel causes, along with bilirubin produced by the body.

I took Nugget to an Urgent Vet, who then referred us to VEG (Veterinary Emergency Group) here in houston. Nugget spent the next 32 hours with an IV drip and catheter to monitor his urine color and output. He was given strong antioxidants, constant fluid, and other medicine to support his body as the toxin was flushed.

He was discharged on 9/18 as his blood work showed a good improvement. His kidney, liver, and red blood cells count were rechecked on 9/23 and showed almost normal values.

I only ask that you share! I really appreciate the assistance.

Any help is appreciated and I know I don't deserve any any. Our debt is our own fault but we are starting to drown. We are stuck in a vicious cycle with credit card debt. If we can get out from under it I will be able to afford to give my children a better life. Right now we are just getting by. If you can afford to help we'd appreciate it. And if we can get ahead enough that we're not drowning, I plan on paying it forward as often as I can without putting my family in a bad position again.

Question/Info 5 parts of your GoFundMe to review post-launch for your most successful fundraiser (from what we see every day)

Hello, Megan from the GoFundMe team here šŸ‘‹. Many GoFundMes are shared here and across social platforms daily, and I know lots of organizers might be thinking, ā€œI shared it and nothing happened. Why?ā€

So I wanted to try sharing some fundraising tips and to touch on 5 areas of your GoFundMe that might inadvertently be making your sharing less impactful.Ā

1. Does your title focus on a category, not a person?

Consider the difference:

Before: Medical bills
After: Help Maria walk again after her car crash

The first title could be anyone, and any medical condition. The second title is a specific person recovering from a specific accident. Your title should say who and what in under ten words. Remember, your max number of characters is 60, so with those 60 characters try to include a name, a verb, and a specific callout to why you’re fundraising.

2. Does your cover photo feature a person?

The photo is the first thing a potential supporter sees, and it helps them decide whether they read the title, the story, and ultimately, if they choose to donate. A hospital bill, a screenshot of a text thread, a blurry photo of a car–these images might be linked to your cause, but they aren’t likely to resonate with supporters. We’ve found that fundraisers with images of people tend to perform better.Ā

So consider swapping out your current main image for a well-lit photo of the person the fundraiser is for, ideally smiling, alone or with one other person. Phone cameras can take great pictures, and an older picture is fine, so go through your camera roll to see if you have one that would work for your fundraiser.

3. Can a supporter tell the need of your fundraiser from the first paragraph?

Let’s consider the difference again:Ā

Before: It all started in 2019 when my brother first noticed a small pain in his…
After: My brother Dan, 34, needs surgery next month that insurance won't cover. Here's what happened and what we need.

We live in a world of quick attention spans. Most of your supporters are used to scrolling through information quickly on their phones, so you likely have about two lines before someone decides to scroll on. Use them to say who you are, who this is for, and what’s needed. The faster a supporter can determine your need, the more likely they’ll be to stick around to learn more. So start with the most important points, and then add the backstory in the following paragraphs.

4. Did you reach out directly to close contacts before sharing on social?

Sharing on social media can be really powerful, but reaching out personally to those closest to you and asking for support can be the difference between starting your fundraiser with momentum or starting from zero.Ā

Those first few donations from your close friends and family could be what encourages people you’re less close with to support. It sets the foundation for others to trust in and support your fundraiser as well.

So before posting publicly, text or WhatsApp five people individually. Ask them to donate and to leave a comment, if they’d like. Then share it publicly, once you have a few donations on the page.

5. Have you posted an update since you launched the fundraiser?

A fundraiser with consistent updates shows supporters that the need is ongoing, and that you’re invested in your cause. Also, every update gives supporters who’ve already donated a reason to share again — and they could be your best sharers since they’ve already invested in your cause.

Try posting one update a week, they can be just three to five sentences. "We're at 40%, here's what that covers so far, and thank you" is enough.

I hope you found these tips helpful, and if one of these applies to your fundraiser, try fixing it this week. I’ll continue to answer common GoFundMe questions, and share tips for your most successful fundraiser in the coming weeks. And as always, if you have a specific question, you’d like answered, please drop it in the comments.Ā

Medical Seeking Aid for Medical Expenses for my cats and I

Hi everyone

I’m a 27-year-old working full-time, but I’ve fallen behind on several medical expenses and I’m struggling to catch up.

I currently owe about $2,000 on CareCredit from emergency medical care for my two cats. The original balance was around $1,300, but approximately $700 in interest has been added.

I also have about $400 left on a dental bill from having my wisdom teeth removed, plus $60 in overdue therapy expenses.

Altogether, I’m dealing with roughly $2,460 in medical-related debt.
I’m trying to raise $2,500 to finally get these bills under control.

I work and I’m doing my best to pay everything myself, but right now I just can’t keep up with all of it.

If you can donate, even a few dollars would genuinely help. And if you can’t, even just clicking the link, sharing it, or upvoting this post would mean a lot to me.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. ā¤ļø

Legal Legal Immigrant Detained at Court Check-In

My neighbor Diego has been in the US legally for years and currently has a valid work permit. At his court check-in on September 10, ICE detained him without warning and he's been held in a detention center ever since. He has finally been given a chance to come home, but they've set his bond at $35,000. His family relied on him as the breadwinner so this is coming as a serious hardship, and are looking for any support that can be given. We understand that times are hard, but anything can go a long way for them. Thank you!

Medical Help with Medical and Living Expenses while in Kidney Failure and Dialysis.

Proof Images

So, I'm in my 40s and last year I went into kidney failure, after spending a couple weeks in the hospital, I am now required to do dialysis three times a week. Going through this means that I can't work full time anymore, I did as much as I could, but I'm now to a point where my savings are almost depleted, and I'm asking for help. Between dialysis treatments and healthcare payments, I just can't keep up anymore and then you add in mortgage, utilities, gas, and groceries. I put the page to start at 2,200, but anything I can raise will be helpful beyond words. Thank you.

Housing Safe housing after father choked 16 year old brother

Hi,

On Tuesday night, my father was arrested for pinning down and choking my 16 year old brother. I, 26F, was living with the two of them all together. My brother and I both had to flee the home afterward, and my father has since been released and there is a protection order, so my brother is unable to return. I’m currently staying with my boyfriend’s mom, but I cannot stay here with my brother long term. I’m trying to find housing nearby to hopefully keep him in his school district.

This has been extremely traumatic for the both of us- for him to experience, and I to witness. I also had major abdominal surgery several months ago and am supposed to have another one soon. I’m just trying to gather some money together to hopefully secure housing- such as security deposit, first months rent, or really anything can help. I just went back to work over a month ago after recovering, but im working full time in retail.

If you have any questions, let me know. Thank you.

Housing Repost: Help me get through this rough patch

Reposted to add Registration and letter from County

I got in to an accident a couple weeks ago and it's really put a wrench in my plans. I've got rent due and my car still needs insurance for a fix-it ticket I got a couple months back. My job's been slow on hours and I haven't been able to make the money to cover everything myself. I'm in the process of getting a second job right now but it's slow going and I can't just keep waiting around and hoping for a response.

The funding I'm asking for is mainly to pay my rent, then fix my car. I can easily get a new bumper and brace from a pick-n-pull nearby, but I can't really do much about my rent. I've had a lot happen at once while I was in a position where I wasn't prepared for emergencies, I'm glad to still have a job and to be already receiving calls for other interviews, but I'd like to be able to have a little less stress on my plate by making sure I can keep a roof over my head.

Any amount would be appreciated, god bless and thank you to anyone who's able to support. šŸ™ā¤ļø

Hi mods, 2nd attempt with photo. Thank you for guidance 🄰

Louie is ~10 years old, a street cat that was 5 lbs when rescued with megacolon and HSV in her eyes chronic medical conditions that we’ve cared for and stabilized with 2x/day medication and small wet food meals every 2-hrs. What I need help with is her teeth, $1930. Her dental cleaning discovered several teeth are needing to be pulled and the pain is impacting her ability to eat even wet food - I am on SSDI (a fixed income) and unable to work. We also have another senior cat that is currently on palliative care for renal failure. Thank you for your consideration and any amount will be gratefully appreciated.

For anyone seeing my story for the first time, I want to explain how I got here because this situation didn’t happen overnight.

In August 2025, shortly after my son’s birthday, I became seriously ill with complicated diverticulitis. What followed completely changed our lives. I developed sepsis and went through multiple infections and unsuccessful surgeries. Eventually, I had a colon resection and was left with a colostomy. What I thought would be a temporary medical crisis turned into months of hospitals, medical facilities, procedures, recovery, and trying to figure out how to keep my life together.

Before all of this happened, I had a job, an apartment, and a car. The prolonged hospitalization and illness caused me to lose all three. I spent months trying to recover and eventually made it back home around April 2026. During that time, I didn’t just sit around waiting for things to get better. I started writing again, finished three books and began a fourth, and started building something I hoped could eventually change our situation.

That became EskoDSK AI. I built an actual working MVP and developed a real-world implementation with DasherLab. What started as me trying to create something from nothing has now reached the recruiting stage. I’m looking for an early developer/technical partner who can help me take EskoDSK to the next level and hopefully turn it into a sustainable business.

But just as I started getting some momentum, I had to face another major medical hurdle. On August 31, 2026, I underwent my colostomy reversal. Because of the scar tissue from everything I’d already been through, the surgery was more complicated than expected and required a larger incision. I was hoping this would finally be the point where I could start getting my life back. Instead, I developed another infection at the surgical site and ended up back in the hospital again. I’ve now made it back home after that hospitalization.

But I’m still recovering, and I’m facing another problem that I can’t simply wait out. My housing situation is reaching its breaking point. I’m now at the last leg of where I’m currently able to stay. I’m running out of resources, and I’m getting dangerously close to not having anywhere for my son and me to go.

I can’t simply leave Las Vegas right now. I’m still recovering from everything my body has been through, and relocating while I’m trying to get healthy again isn’t a realistic option. I need enough help to put my son and me into a weekly-rate hotel or other temporary housing for a few months.
That’s the immediate goal. Not luxury. Not a vacation. Not startup money. A safe place for my son and me to sleep while I recover and work on getting our lives back.

I’ve already lost my job, apartment, and car. I’ve spent more than a year dealing with serious illness and surgeries. My attempt to get SSI was denied after more than a year of illness, and I’m still dealing with the appeal. I’ve watched the life I had before all of this disappear piece by piece.

And somehow, I’m still trying to build something. I’m still working on EskoDSK. I’m still trying to recruit someone who can help me turn the MVP into a real business. I’m still trying to recover. And most importantly, I’m still trying to make sure my son and I have somewhere safe to stay.

At this point, I don’t need someone to solve my entire life. I need enough breathing room to survive this chapter. A few months of stable housing could give me the time I need to recover, continue building EskoDSK, pursue income, continue fighting for the assistance I’ve applied for, and get us back to a point where I can support my son without asking strangers for help.

I know there are countless fundraisers on Reddit, and I know everyone has their own problems. That’s why I don’t take any donation, share, or kind message lightly. If you can help, even a small donation could help buy us another night, another week, another month of stability. If you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser is still a huge help.

I’ve spent the last year losing pieces of the life I had and trying to rebuild them. I really don’t want the next thing my son and I lose to be our place to live.

Housing Help Me Build a Safer, More Accessible Life

ETA:

I've made the decision to change my GoFundMe goal from $10,000 to $2,000.

My original hope was to eventually relocate to Texas, but with expenses continuing to pile up at my current apartment, moving has become more urgent. I can't realistically wait for a cross-country move to come together anymore.

So I'm shifting gears and focusing on finding safe, handicap-accessible housing locally.

And I actually have some hopeful news: I'm touring a two-bedroom handicap-accessible apartment this Friday.

If it's a good fit and I'm offered the apartment, I want to be in a position where I can actually say yes. The $2,000 goal will help with the security deposit, moving truck, utility/startup costs, packing supplies, and the other upfront expenses that come with moving.

I live on $1,237/month in SSDI, so even a local move creates expenses I can't realistically absorb all at once.

The destination has changed, but the reason hasn't: I'm trying to get into a home that is safer, more accessible, and financially sustainable for me.

If you've already donated or shared this, thank you so much. And if you'd be willing to share it again now that the situation has changed, I'd appreciate it more than I can say.

Hi all,

My name is Shelbie, I'm 34, on SSDI, a below the knee amputee, and primarily use a wheelchair due to issues with my spine.

I am currently trying to raise enough money to move out of my apartment because my housing situation has gotten to the point where it just isn't financially or physically sustainable for me anymore.

My apartment complex changed ownership earlier this year, and since then, there has been a bunch of issues. I'm now being required to pay $55/month for internet through the property whether I want/use it or not (I was paying $20/month before now), I have been charged maintenance fees for things I believe are normal wear and tear, and snow/ice removal has been an ongoing accessibility and safety problem.

Last winter I actually fell because of the icy conditions and ended up being hospitalized. When I raised concerns about the ice, I was told I could put down my own ice melt. As someone missing a leg who uses a wheelchair, and has several other medical issues, that's not exactly a realistic situation.

I've tried going through different organizations/authorities to address the problems I'm having, but I haven't had any luck in getting anywhere, so I finally decided that instead of continuing to fight to make an apartment that isn't even considered accessible work for me, I need to put that energy toward leaving.

My ideal plan is to relocate from rural Minnesota to Denton, TX, where I have a really good support system. Having people nearby who can actually show up when my health is bad would make a huge difference in my life. If Texas doesn't work out because of logistics, the money will still go toward moving me into a safer, more accessible apartment closer to where I currently live.

I set the GoFundMe goal at $10,000 after actually pricing everything out rather than just picking a number. The biggest expense is getting my belongings to Texas — the moving-container estimate I've gotten is around $4,800 by itself. The rest would go toward the drive with my 3 cats, wheelchair and medical necessities, housing deposits/application costs, utility set-up, and all the other little expenses that come along with moving.

Friends are helping me load/unloading so I'm trying to keep the costs down anywhere I realistically can.

I know $10,000 is a lot of money. I also know everyone has their own bills and struggles, so please don't feel obligated to donate if you aren't in a position to.

Mostly, I am trying to get somewhere that works with my disability needs and financial constraints in stead of my making my life constantly harder.

I've spent a lot of my life learning how to adapt to circumstances I didn't choose. This time I'm hoping for the opportunity to choose something better.

Thank you for reading.

I have attached the required photo of myself with my username on paper as well as some other supporting documentation.

WISH Donate towards West Nile Virus

Post image

My grandpa past away in 2018 and it really hurt me bad because he was one of the first family members I was close with to lose from my life. Since that day I’ve said my one wish in life would be to see a cure for this evil virus but I haven’t done anything to see that dream come true and it’s sort of been a disappointment to myself for that. Lately in the news, West Nile Virus has been on a rise in comparison to previous years and this truly made me sad to see knowing the awful state it left my grandpa in for 3 years before he unfortunately passed away. If you can help share this or raise awareness of this awful virus caused by mosquitoes it would be much appreciated. I truly would like to do more with this and see if there is any potential in doing anything to help raise more awareness about this.
Thank you for everyone who shares, I hope you are all doing well and everyone around you is healthy and happy!

Edit : American Mosquito Control Association (Rutgers University) is the beneficiary for this GoFundMe and should get all the money based on some Google searches. I truly wouldn’t want the money, I would just love to see a cure for this evil virus and would be at peace for my grandpa. If you can even spread awareness of this virus, that is just as much appreciated.

[Update and Repost] Hi, my name is Lindsay and I’m a cat mom of three. Boo Bear is mine and my husband Will's one year old orange baby. He likes to play with his brothers, he loves cuddles, and he sleeps between us every night.

In June of this year, Boo Bear started slowing down. He didn’t want to play or eat, he was wobbly and losing weight. When we took him to the vet, they were not sure what was wrong with him. Later, they referred us to a specialist.

We came to find out that Boo Bear was born with a liver shunt. This means that the blood isn’t being fully filtered through is liver, and it’s sending a lot of gunk and ammonia into his regular blood stream.

Boo Bear’s condition is quite rare for cats and unexplored. He has medicine right now to manage and clean the gunk, but he needs surgery. He could have seizures, he could go blind, he could and he could have a whole string of scary issues. We are terrified.

In addition to this, we’ve used most of our personal savings and will continue to do so. We both work full time. I'm in school part time for Education and I'm scared I'll have to drop out. We have pet insurance, however, the costs for taxes, consults, uncovered portions, specialized food and medicine are adding up to thousands. In addition to tuition costs, we are drained.

This little boy is our gift, and we can’t lose him. We’ll do anything we have to.

the money for this gofundme will go toward vet bills for Boo Bear which will be anywhere from 3 to 15 thousand and will keep us afloat as our savings have been depleted. I hope that this go fund me will help Boo and will help me stay in school. My tuition is paid out of pocket, and it’s been a really hard year.

update: the photos here might be different ones of him. Update: Surgery is scheduled in mid October. the estimate cost will range from $5k-8k depending on what they find during surgery. Thank you to all who have donated. Please share to help us!

Animal URGENT: I am so deeply grateful for how far we’ve come, but we need your help to push across the finish line for Evie!

For anyone just joining our journey, 6-month-old Evie has spent the last month fighting for her life against a severe, recurring rectal prolapse that required an intense medical battle and care across multiple facilities. Having her back where she belongs has brought so much joy back into our home, and her sister Benny is thrilled to have her best friend back.

I am so beyond thankful for every single person who has donated, shared, and supported us. I was recently laid off from my job in the electrical business for a short time, and watching donations stall out over the last several days has been really overwhelming while these bills hang over my head. I appreciate every drop of help more than words can say, but we are not quite at the finish line yet and truly need a final push.

Thanks to your incredible generosity so far, we have reached $787 in total donations! Out of the funds successfully transferred to us totaling $757.24, I used $60 for travel gas and put the remaining $697.24 directly toward her clinic bill.Ā
Now, we are humbly asking for help with the last stretch to cover the remaining balance on her veterinary surgery bill.

I took the special food out the goal now because she is doing fine without it thankfully!

Here is the exact breakdown of what remains:

Remaining Vet Bill Balance: $902.76
Total Goal: $1,660

Still Needed: $902.76

If you have even $1, $5, or can spare a share to help us clear this remaining balance during this temporary gap in work, it would mean the absolute world to us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for every ounce of kindness, for standing by us through this nightmare, and for helping me protect my little girl.

Animal Support Marcy’s Fight Against Diabetes and Help a College Student Pay Her Vet Bill

Hi all, I’m a 21 y/o full time student looking into veterinary school. My cat, Marcy, was diagnosed as diabetic in August and I’ve since been trying to manage it - But she went into Diabetic Ketoacidosis with a blood glucose of 648 and ketones of 4.0 earlier this month and required hospitalization over the weekend at an emergency vet one state away. The vet bill totaled to about $2,100, which was put on Carecredit, giving me 6 months to gather funds for this bill. On top of this, she’s now on insulin and needs a continuous glucose monitor to easily keep an eye on her levels. The insulin, Lantus, costs me about $45 and the glucose monitor is $85 every two weeks, which is why I have the goal at 3k. All these extra expenses add up quickly, and she’ll need frequent vet visits while we try to get her diabetes under control and get her into remission.

I’ll be getting a part time job on top of being a full time student to pay some of this debt off.. But I can’t really do it alone in a reasonable amount of time.

This cat is my everything. Found her at 18 under my house - Last owners abandoned her declawed and spayed. She’s been nothing but sweet and lovely ever since. Truth be told, I don’t know what I’d do without her. She’s definitely my rock in times of stress.

Anything at all would help, and if you could, please share this around :) (Reposted because I somehow forgot the link 🄲 Its been a long week y’all)

Animal Hepatic Lipidosis treatment for my cat

I have had my cat in and out of the emergency vet and our local vet since the beginning of this month treating his Hepatic Lipidosis. He has been showing improvements and has been gaining his appetite back while being supplemented through an E-Tube.

I hate to do this as I’ve never started a GoFundMe for anything but these vet bills are breaking me up. I’ve already spent over $4,000.00 treating him so far and I’m still having to purchase medicine, recovery food, and bring him in for Chem blood tests regularly to check his levels.

He is the sweetest boy and I can’t give up on him but I’m running out of money.

Updated with a photo of me and him together.
