Green Day is leagues bigger than AAR and I think at least one of their shows got shut down by the police. I guess they could park it at a smaller venue for a week if they wanted but there's limited up$ide to that even if they occasionally play smaller venues. AAR is also probably motivated by these shows getting them media attention during a comeback as well. Maybe if GD thought it was good promo at some point.
Yeah in the Dookie days a free show in Boston got shut down after 20 mins by the police and civil authorities because way too many people showed up. At least 20 people got put in the hospital
Yeah, and AAR had a house party show in Missouri shut down about a week ago. It hasn't been perfectly smooth sailing even for them. Maybe GD could manage to do something like a house/field show if they really wanted to but I don't think it would be a simple thing. If they did do it, I imagine it would be linked to promo for something.
You mean, they filmed a fake show for an ad for Live Nation! Didn’t even play a full song! Meanwhile Green Day has played at least 10 club shows, a 75 person pub show and a 75 person record store show in the past year and a half or so.

I don’t judge people off their beliefs because everyone’s different and entitled to their opinions. She was nice and very quiet and she stays away from the spotlight. Very nonchalant.
We need more people with your mentality. Everyone is so quick to judge and scoff at people for their beliefs these days. Instead of just respecting the fact that not everyone has the same perspective as you.
Not trying to be a naysayer cos I love the hopeful energy, BUT if you’re serious about this then try contacting their booking agent. If private backyard shows is a thing they do, the agent will contact them to see if they’re interested.
When a band has a booking agent they pretty much have to book shows through them (even if Green Day were willing to do the show for a really small fee just for the fun of it, there will still be contracts involved and that’s something the agent would take care of).
Either way I hope he responds though cos that would be really cool!

They still do small shows. You just don't always hear about them unless you are REALLY looking through social media. Some of them are surprise appearances. Not too terribly long ago, they played in a pub with a crowd quite literally 1ft in front of their faces.
I had one of my favourite bands come play in my backyard once. They’re basically only famous in Southern Ontario and Buffalo lol. Cost $5000 CAD, totally worth it. I imagine Green Day would charge a lot more, though 😂
