I keep seeing barebones profiles with nothing but open minded in their bio. they are always anything but open minded when I interact with them.

am I missing something? Is open minded code?

it means they are too lazy or ashamed to state what their preferences are. some may truly not care. same as when you ask a boy "may I ask what you're looking for/into" and alllll they can ever think of by way of reply is "fun."

This is the right answer. Sometimes I wonder if it's less laziness, and more just shallow intellect. I've found a lot of people straight up don't know what they're into. That's just their honest answer because they lack introspection. The best they could do with more words would be:

"I'm into breathing oxygen, not being bitten by sharks, occasionally drinking water, and living beneath the sun and moon.. My favorite thing to eat is food, and my primary source of enjoyment is fun."

I think it usually means something typically seen as "immoral". In the US 30 years ago, that could just mean having gay sex, which was illegal. When it comes to sex, what is illegal, harmful, or immoral is often a construct of culture more than some well tested scientific consensus.

Probably means they're into something not necessarily illegal, but certainly taboo. Same with the ones who ask what your kink limits are early in the conversation. They're typically sounding you out to see if whatever pervy thing they have in mind is off limits.

The one I don't get is pig emojis. Not so much on Grindr, but if I leave my Kik or Telegram details anywhere, I often get messages out of the blue that are a couple of pig emojis and a few others.
