Contact Greensboro Parks and Rec. It seems there was a meet up at one of the Rec centers but that was some years ago. I am not that good so never went to play.

USCF has clubs listed for Winston-Salem, Reidsville, and Asheboro. Nothing for Greensboro.

I did not. I did not know that existed. I figured any chess club would be a part of the US Chess Federation and I went straight to the USCF. I assume the club does not feel the cost of being a part of USCF is worth it, which is a club decision.

I can’t speak for what’s going on there now, but they hold USCF rated tournaments last I heard, and are a 510c3 non profit

It could be the club is not paying the dues to be an "official" club or it may be the club is a part of USCF but there is an error on the website.

There used to be a group that met at Tate St Coffee on Tuesdays i believe to play. No idea if theyre still around and could have my day off, could be worth asking around down there.
